  • Ok, now practice doing it with your head up.

  • this is the cheeziest shit ive ever heard

  • Hockey is played with a PUCK not with a fuckin gay yellow ball

  • the kids like 8 there isnt checking for 4 years..

  • Nice video, however the best stick handling is to do with it without looking at the ball.

  • anyone else notice the guy yawning half the time?

  • Stickhandling is all about learning movement patterns. You are trying to create a permanent motor program in your master computer (the brain) so it becomes automatic and you don't have to think about it. In the early stages of learning, it's not important if the player is looking down at the ball or puck. As they get more proficient, eyes-up training is the next stage of development. If you are a player, you may be interest in our onlinestickhandling program offered at sweet hockey training

  • this does not help if the person has to keep his head down to put it through the space. Stickhandling practice should be done with awareness as well.

  • Yes

  • Can you do that with a golf ball too?

  • at that age a wood stick or a stealth wont put a scratch in daddys nhl dreams

  • hmm..? heads UP!, u dont play with youre eyes on the puck all the time

  • #LOL

  • good for training lol

  • keep your head up!!!!

  • Where can I get the cones of what every you call them??

  • If you are referring to the blue trainer, it's called SweetHands and is available at sweethockey You may also be interested in our online stickhandling program available at sweethockeytraining Thanks and have a great day. LP

  • @mjf111 You can literally make something that will serve the same purpose with 10$ of 2x4s from Home Depot

  • All these videos have their heads down

Thats when you get cold cocked

  • @LottsaLasagna BAM lol

  • they should start doing this with their heads up

  • Only problem is, you do everything with your head down, step on ice and your gonna et rocked, no matter how fancy you feel with your little ball

  • anyone can stick handle with a ball

  • check out my stick handling video

  • Wow crazy soft hands wow!

  • that's amazing, i wish i had this kind of equipment at home!

  • wow i can do that and hay at the beginning he was looking down at the ball so thares a thaing if he gos to the nhl (NOT!)

  • Comment removed

  • @trey588881

There is a reason they are use a Mite age kid in the video. They are setting a foundation for skills that will be used on the ice.

  • Nice job..

Keep your head up next time ;)

  • Why do all of these stickhandling training product videos have gay 1980's theme music?

  • do this with gloves. And the kid fails at raising backhand

  • ok these guys are awesome but will they realy need to do that in a game??

  • yes. but a decent defender won't pay any attention to fast/furious stickhandling. They will just play the chest/body. But being able to move the puck quickly definitely helps out your game.

  • @PS3ROX93 its just focusing on balance and stick handling manuevers

  • gary music

  • i have this and it helps a lot.

  • were do u get one

  • make one out of old sticks or improvise. I'd pay $20 for something like this, but it goes for $100.

  • @livingonice

I dont play ice hockey I play hockey on astro etc and I have no idea why you think this is useless, yes you wont use that exact move in a game but the point is the amount of ball control they have.

  • what kind of ball is that?

  • wow..that kid is good for his age...and lol love those GAY short shorts on the older guy!ahah

  • i agree with drthmstrbtr all these players are trying to do trick shot's that they will never ever use in a game in the NHL

  • a little bit more practice :)

  • keep your head up ...

  • yeah no shit. This is just teaching them to skate with their heads down. They'd get their clocks cleans staring at the puck the whole time they skate!

  • if you completely agree with me then why do you say no shit? try saying something like i agree.. its less arguative i thought you were gunna start chirpin

  • shutup goons this is sick, im gonna do this every day when the ice comes around...

  • hockey has become too showboaty!

players worry more about lookin cool

than they do workin on their shot!

    it's pathetic

  • false, false, and more false......i wear jaromir jagr plastic elbow pads and shin pads, and still have vapor 30s and im goin to the USHL....dont judge based upon what you see, but judge on what you dont see and know.

  • Well part of hockey is having good hands.

I agree about the shot thing thats what i am working on this season. But stickhandleing is important two.

  • little kid's got good hands

    good job!

  • Great set of hands!!!

  • you still have the tan leather suit from slap shot

  • good job...nice video

  • Nice hands....keep up the work

  • that dude cant even toe drag a ball?

  • i hope you can do that shit with your head up youll get fucking wrecked

  • Teaching kids to keep their heads down since February 2007

  • that little kid sucks. hes got stone hands

  • For his age he isn't bad at all.

  • i had a stealth and a synergy when I was 8? its not a big deal if your kids AAA

  • who gets their eight year old a stealth??? :|

  • @84hotshot84 ikr! like $200

  • @84hotshot84

If my 8 year old had those stick handling skills, I would get him a stealth. Until then a generic wooden stick will due.

  • @84hotshot84 when your sons that good he desurves a steath

  • these a shitty drills for puck handling drop a bucket of pucks and try stick handle but dont touch a puck

  • hmm, i dunno, just kinda gay

  • any1 can do that its only with a ball

  • no im j. cates cousin D.cates

  • is that a golf ball or hockey ball

  • Sweet Hockey Speed Ball

  • Last time I checked, golf balls were white. Except for mini putting.

  • the best way to learn how to stick handle with ur head up is to go oin ur garage evey day and stick handle with ur head up for a about 30 mins a day. ive been doing it for 4 years and it helps alot

  • hey i know you Rem im cates

  • Hope all is well Mr. Cates. How is the season going for you so far? See ya hopefully this winter. Have a great day. LP

  • i have the same stick as the little kid, except its a senior not a wimpy little junior

  • ya that might help u with controling the puck but its not going to help u keep ur head up wial doing it at PRATICE!!! we had a guy get droped and had to go the hospital cause he had his head down soo i would not use this

  • Kid's got talent, but he should do that with his head up, and one thing, when would you ever use 0:42 in a game?

  • if the player tries to block a pass but his stick is not completely on the ice so you pass the puck under and you jump over his sticks

  • no, they are just stick handling drills.

  • its supposed to work on stickhandling and agility not meant to do in actual game

  • lol first of all u wont be useing any of these in a game and when they do the backhand they scoop the ball which u dont do in a game i would suggest using a puck and looking up cuz if ur tryna be alll that and doin these crap moves someones going to smoke u can u wont be able to skate fast

  • they're both looking down at the puck the whole time....

  • Good point.

  • where can i buy this blue thing

  • you don't really need to buy it..-.-

just use like 5 pucks and you'll be fine

  • the kid is better than the man

  • is that the same guy on the trampolin

  • Guys the best player have there head up in the right moment. This is realy good training

  • WOW sooo hardd ooo00oooo! ny1 can do do that shit but the little kid has talent

  • no kidding, little hockey dude's pretty bad ass! :)

  • toe drags?

  • i prefer hockey training from Anatoli Tarasov i heard he was a though as* on developing hockey players

  • If you look hard, you can find his book, I read it, it's very good. Also check out Canadian Lloyd Percival's famous book from the '50s, it jump-started Soviet hockey.

  • head up!

  • um shouldnt you emphasize trying to keep the head up. Yes you will lose it alot in the beginning but will get better

  • Stickhandling is done with the head-up, not staring down at a bunch of holes.

  • That little kids pretty good!:O ;)

  • Very coool!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lmao....great music in the background absolutely hilarious video

  • the little kids gotta better stick than the biger dude

  • check out my hockey videos there not bad

  • this just gets u used to stickhandling wiv ur head down.....

  • exactly

  • @03edwardsa thats why you start doing em with your head up, once you get better at it. This is just to develop your hands, once youve done that then you can work on avoiding hits

  • I would train stickhandling skills a lot, if we had a basement or a warm garage. I can only train them on ice or in the summer.

  • what a dangle

  • Wow that little kid has a Easton Stealth. What a waste of money little kids shouldn't have composite sticks they should develop there skills using a wood stick first.

  • In Finland we have rules, that kids can play with composite sticks when they turn 12.

  • lil kid doesn't need a easton stealth

  • nice

  • the kid was sandbagging it halfway though

  • yeah i agree with dannilius.......if you keep your head down while your skating and just consentrating on your stick handeling then you'll get drilled............so yeah if you can do that with your head up then you're good

  • lmao he has his eyes on the ball all the time learn to do that without watching the ball then ur good

  • It's easy.

  • he can do that only because he has a nice stick

  • Lol, your joking right? So your telling me if I gave some random fat guy the best stick in the world he'll be as good as Sidney Crosby?

  • yes, i most certainly am joking. i cant believe you took that even remotely serious. haha

  • Oh, my bad. Lmao. Sweet joke then...

  • It looks easy but I guess it would prove to be somewhat difficult. It's good for for some warm up drills.

  • you guys have no idea what you're talking about.. rofl

  • thats easy man

  • No way, those things are hard to do.

  • gosh wat r u all talking about, that stuff isn't hard, the kid isn't even that good....i could do that easily

  • Lmao... and I guess your about 8 years old like he is?

  • me and my 6 year old cousin can do that... i bet u cant

  • LOL.

    I'm a goalie.

    Thanks for coming out, though.

  • so? why cant u do it even if u r a goalie?

  • Wow. That kids better than me!

  • OMFG bullshit everyone can do that if he practise enough^^

  • man if that kid is as old as i think he is and he can skate and has a shot he could make it pro

  • how do you figure that?

did you just declare yourself an NHL scout?

  • its true bud

  • hey, BUD, there are a lot more factors that go into that shit...then again, you probably wouldn't know.

  • i think they're using balls that are weighted like a hockey puck i've got one and it works really well

  • that kid is good

  • nice stick

  • good video, would be better with your gloves and with a real puck since it's more realistic to the game and you will get you to stickhandle with your gloves and you will develop a great feeling with a real puck, other than that, it's pretty good drills.

  • the kids was better!
