For some strange reason, every Final Fantasy VII video I have seen has the max HP/MP of 9999/999 even for the PS users. Then I go to my room, start playing, and I have 30K-60K HP and 1K of MP. What THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY PS TO GIVE ME A HELL-LOAD MORE HP/MP!?!?!? (I SWEAR I HAD THESE STATS BEFORE I FOUND OUT HOW TO MOD.)

@n0wM3 I've had the game run on XP SP2, Vista Ult. x64SP1, and Win7Ult. x64. You have to do a few hoop jumps to get it to work on Vista and Win7, but it can be done.

Personally, I prefer IV and VI on the SNES/SFC. VII is alright, but it's surrounded by so many fan-boys/girls that it becomes an unpalatable taste to play without thinking of them all.

I agree with you. I personally loved final Fantasy IV, IX, and even VIII over this game. I tried playing it but I found the storyline to be too cliche and boring. I just felt there was something missing in this series and i couldn't care for the characters. I prefer the lunar series over final fantasy. I just wish the lunar series had the same fandom so new games can be made for the lunar series.

@sharuko24 Actually, I was finding the gathering it had gotten to be relatively annoying before anything related to it came out. Just the game itself. No movies, no side-stories. The base game and before the PC port, as well. I also do not recall saying I hated the game itself, but the people that it seemed to keep garnering to it. If I truly hated it, why would I even be modding and playing it on the PC?

anyone knows a place/can give me a link where to download the models from Kingdom Hearts for FFVII? I've seen some videos that have all the characters model replaced by their KH versions, so the files are out there. However, that kind of models are not endorsed on qhimm forums. @R3d46 Good luck with that. I still haven't been able to find anything like that for download openly. Heck, there's this one guy that's done the characters and redoing all the monster models too, along with weapon.

/user/umjammerlammy2 is the guy doing them but nothing for grabs as far as I know from them.

Play the original. And don't play Crisis Core or Dirge of Cerberus, as they are set apart from the original game (when you play the original game you make up your own mind about things).

Ok, now WHATEVER you do, if you're gonna play CC anyway (which i wholeheartedly recommend that you do not), THEN whatever you do don't do it before playing FF7.

If you play CC first (before playing the real game) it will destroy FF7 for you.

There is no reason not to play CC if you liked 7, it's a great game even if a few of the story elements are unnecessary; the music, battle system and the sheer amount to do is fantastic. Although I will agree that you should play it after 7 itself, or if you know the entire story already.

No, the original name was "Aeris." I have two different versions of FFVII both the original version and the game of the year edition. Unless you have a European version of the game (Which the design is sideways compared to the US version) it was spelled Aeris.

actually, Sephiroth, is supposed to be pronounced as Sephiros (seff-ee-ross), because in the japan they always say Sephiros, and in the OWA song they sing Sephiros! Sephiros! It's a common mistake of people... that many say "Sephiroff" (american interpretation).

although, it *can* actually be pronounced (or written even) as Sefirot, with a T sound at the end, since, after all, it comes from the Sefirot in the Kaballah.

Hey, just a question, I got the 1.02 patch, and the hi-res patch works fine, but when using either the TNT or Riva 128 i still get the same weird graphical glitches i got before, although its a bit less with the Riva, still ridiculous amounts of squares. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the 1.02 patch supposed to fix those errors with the renderers? Oh BTW my video card is an 8800 GT if thats a factor.

If you're running it on the keyboard, you have to use the NUMERIC pad for everything. Personally, I use an adapter to use PSX/PS2 controllers for pad input.
