I just bought this game for my dreamcast. it was like $4.50! great game, very addicting.

This game is just so great, From the game mechanics to the fantastic controls and realistic visuals. I Recommend playing this game with a couple of friends for a good time.

All the Virtua tennis games are some of the most addictive games I've ever played,it's that,just one more game thing,and when games hook you in like that you know your playing a GR8 fuckin' game.

The courting Anna Kournikova joke made me lol pretty hard. Easily one of the best Dreamcast games, probably best tennis game along with the original Mario Tennis.

@Hullspawn yea, i have both and i prefer the first one overall

but for serious competition against other people, as long as you don't touch custom characters, the second is better. i don't like the "rpg" style leveling up of all your skills in the second one - it destroys balancing against other players because these games require skill at core. also playing 2 makes you realize that 3 is just a graphical and roster update.

@Te4RHyP3 I don´t remember very well because the last time I played that game was six years ago. But virtua tennis 2k2 had women players and better graphics, and also, you could design your own character in the world tour mode.

I think Tennis on ColecoVision has the edge over Virtua Tennis, but it's still great fun with a friend.

Still, you can't make your character do the Funky Dance in Virtua Tennis, really ^_^

well, for whatever reason I think it's a bad port. Even Wikipedia agrees with me! :

'The PlayStation 2 version (released in 2002) was noticeably visually worse than the Dreamcast version and featured the well known system issue of "jaggies" and some of the general graphic "sheen" was missing.'
