A TAS is recorded with an emulator in slow motion (Frame advance) while using save states and rerecords. The idea is to see how fast a game can be beaten when everything is perfect. If the same input used in this run would have been played on console, the same result would have been achieved.

But it's no hacking the game and cheat codes are never used.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles was by far, the best Sonic game ever. Knuckles was such a bad-ass in that game, it had some of the best bosses, new power ups, the best special and first bonus stages, super tails, hyper sonic, best music, best levels, best gameplay, and it also had the best plot from the old series or maybe even the franchise (even though I don't judge a game by its plot)
