Great score. It provides so much atmosphere. Definatley should have received an oscar nomination. Also I still don't know how this film lost to Cocoon for best special effects. I mean it introduced cgi to the world.

How do they do that rustling noise at some parts? It's actually very clever because it reminds me of a carriage on a cobblestone road. are they just tapping their bows on their instruments or something? Brilliant composition!

@fireoutlaw23 That sound is string players rapping on the bodies of their instruments with their knuckles. I agree, it's an excellent effect in a great piece!

What an AMAZING piece of music!!! Bruce Broughton's work is superb. A very underrated score from 1985...it deserved (at least) an oscar nomination!

@carligo Bruce got nominted for a much better score...Silverado...BUT John Barry won for Out of Africa.
