sounds like some hippy shit... Have you heard of the new world order? and have you ever heard of 80 - 90% of the world hates the united states? and are you unaware that not EVERYONE in the world has the time/ or technology to go on youtube, sit in there house and make stupid fucking videos to post on the internet? What if we decided to blog our german friends during world war 2, and decided we the united states didn't want to go to war.. pfft, we'd be speakin german, theres no peace without war
@TruthCeeker333 I was actually telling someone about this video today. It's by far one of my favorite videos I've ever made. I can remember making it like it was yesterday.
The internet democratizes so many aspects of our culture; education, journalism, entertainment, politics...you name it.
Vlogging is only one aspect, but it's one of the most important, indeed. The key to it is that there are FACES that go with the names. Thus, there are faces that go with the issues that are most important to us, if we do this right.
roanoke virginia. awesome point. the only thing is when you said a friend would log on and say dont bomb my house the U.S isnt gonna just go bombing random places. we attack spots strategicly.
Renetto, LisaNova, and Boheme suck the most dick on YT, yet they get all the subscribers. WTF? Lonelygirl15 fucked things up for a while, but luckily, no one gives a shit about her anymore. Her "reality show" is goin down the drain.
YTWatchdog, Wine Kone, AngryAussie, SMPFilms, are where it's it at.
It`s not powerful , it`s a load of crap. youtbe changes nuthin. Except for those guys who got all that cash from google. Cheech and Chong or sth like that
The goal is not only to eliminate "out of sight, out of mind," but also to eliminate ignorance and prejudice and to educate by providing a window into the personal life of each and every YouTuber.
If you'd rather eliminate someone (who more than likely only knows what he has been told and trained to believe) than try your hardest to show him your side of the story and come to a mutual compromise, then you, sir, are a contributor to the problems of our world.
The point that Paul is making is that we should make "friends." If Paul makes a "friend", then maybe his "fiend" WILL prevent his neighbor from blowing up your kids. Hell, his "friend" may even SHOW his neighbor Paul's channel, and that neighbor and Paul may themselves become "friends." And as such and so on and henceforth.
Yes. I agree with Chode68 in Arizona, USA. Yes, this is a great message video. I very much like your "documentary", personal and intimate way of expressing this. You come out of my the computor screen. You do. The closeness of your face and the good sound quality helps. I guess that quite soon you are going to sit at Oprah Winfrey Show engaged in a cozy armchair-talk with her. It would not surprise me at all!
I think you make a good point about no one being out of mind, but I completly disagree with the out of sight out of mind comment. There are people I never see, and are always on my mind, literally. But that might just be me, I don't tend to forget people easily.
Five years from now you tube isn't going to change politics. You think more people in third world countries are going to have more computers, not likely. More people in North America are going to have computers thats more likely.
It's true the military does screw up and kill civilians, but terrorists more often than not, and if they didn't then more 911s would happen and perhaps next time it'll be you in those towers. Yes you, you faithless anarchist.
I see nothing powerful here. Have you no faith in your goverment? "Kinda like a 911' thing happened", "thing". Huh? Maybe you forgot, but that was the terroists bombing you! Yes, you! "We're bombimg our friends", who the terrorists? Cause thats who your government is trying to get.
And what have the U.S. done in Iraq and Afghanistan? Did they not kill innocent people? Did they not drop cluster bombs which blew the legs off of little children? And didn't they finance Osama and Saddam before the 9/11 incident?
You have a very good point! Wish I had seen this last week to include it in my class project! It's on my site "YouTube Community" just visuals short and sweet.
"[Man] is the only one that gathers his brethren about him and goes forth in cold blood and calm pulse to exterminate his kind. He is the only animal that for sordid wages will march out... and help to slaughter strangers of his own species who have done him no harm and with whom he has no quarrel.... And in the intervals between campaigns he washes the blood off his hands and works for "the universal brotherhood of man" - with his mouth" - Twain
Continuation... There are people commenting here that have in their mind doomed humanity even though they would rather do nothing about the problems in the world and want to just sit here on their computers and insult people who see something wrong and share their empathy with the world. The world has many things wrong with it and people are ruled by greed and hate, its rare to see so many people who actually care, rather than so many people who want to bring it down.
As I read through these comments I see countries from all over the world poping up. Japan, New Zealand, Austraila, UK, USA, Canada. But I also see the insulting comments. The ones from the people who don't care. The comments from the people who don't want to know who's from where, the people who'd rather have war than peace. The comments from people who would much rather hate then love, and would rather care about themselves than other. continued...
USA You are so right I met a guy once on a game. I talked to him every day for 2 years. I thought he lived in the USA and figured he was white. Then one day I found out he lives in china.People are just like us all around the world and if we don't get out there and post videos people will just keep going with discrimination. I think everyone should put out atleast one video of them you have nothing to lose I actually just put out a video of my own.
This could be a new revolution of humanity... The People can now have a voice... maybe, if we use it well. I am now all America on an Adventure across the United States through Fourth of July.
I think its a bad thing to be honest. I flew to another country because of it, because I thought I fell in love with somone. Wasted alot of money and its bothered me to a point where I cant get it off my mind still until this date. To be honest I think it gives people more to worry about then they are built to handle. Btw, please stop talking about how popular you are so much. USA-Ohio
All very good points, but there are times when I prefer out of sight/out of mind. As the poet Robert Frost reminded us, sometimes, "good fences make good neighbors".
Youtube IS a revolution! I use it mostly for 80s music videos...but you make a lot of sense. I want to meet some other people online now...anyone? Brighton, England
The clock struck 3 and we sang quite blithely. Afterwords we were accosted by those who could not understand what we were, nor why were were there. We made it back to the hotel and unwound by singing a few hits; they never knew how close they came to death.
