Brendan Kelly said that none of the guys in the band actually enjoyed ska and I just find it so ironic that they made what is probably one of the best ska punk bands ever.

Kansje sant det.... Jeg og mine venner har vel hørt på slapstick og den slags siden vi hørte Time Bomb av Rancid på midten av 90 tallet en gang. Hvis du bor i oslo området er tiger en helt genial butikk og er absolutt verd å sjekke ut.. Hvilken cd kjøpte du? den med grønt cover som inneholder "alle sangene"? 7" versjonen av Crooked er bedre enn den på cden og er verd å kjøpe hvis du driver med vinyl. ;)

actually, you can buy the CD online...Asian Man Records put out one of their CD's...unfortunatley they don't have THIS song...because its on their EP Crooked, which is really hard to find...and i believe only on cassette/vinyl...but a good place to buy a Slapstick album for around 8 bucks is to just go onto Asian Man Records and buy it from there. Emphasis on BUY...the bands will appreciate you more for it.

This song is on the CD. So is every other song on the Crooked EP (Not Tonight, Broken Down, My Only Friend) they were just re-recorded. The only Slapstick songs I know of that didn't make it to their "Discography" CD are Brother Man, Yellow Plaid, I Hate Girls, Guy Smiley, and The Man.

Well put. I Hate Girls is one of their most popular songs...its surprising that it didn't make their "Discography". Is there a 7" of Crooked? I've only seen it in cassette form. More to the basis of hard to find Asian Man punk/ska, does anyone know where I can find the split with Blue Meanies and MU330 on vinyl? Or is that way off topic?

Yeah I have Crooked on 7" and I have Superhero EP. I don't have the split with Tommyrot, but I want it really bad. I have the songs from that split on my computer though (Yellow Plaid and Brother Man). They sound like they were recorded inside a garbage can, but they're still awesome.

My favorite slapstick song. 3 best bands ever: Slapstick, Operation Ivy, Crimpshrine. Check out Tricky Dick if you like slapstick. They arent ska or anything, just a punk band. But they used to play shows and hang out with the guys in slapstick because they were both from Elgin.

Got to said that their first seven inch and the song "guy smiley" are one of the best songs that i heard in the ranking of ska punk!!
