If you aggree to this tell to reps to Support the American Freedom Agenda Act "restore the Constitution's checks and balances and protections against government abuses.."
Hmm, I belive it is somewhat necessary but only letting a single person decide such a thing is a bad decision. Possibly a committee of somesort can define who is a foe and who is an ally would be the best way to go. Though this war on terror seems a bit overblown and inflated much more than what it actually is.
Unfortunately, they probably will never get to this question. They'll be addressing keeping guns legal, bringing prayer back to school, making abortion illegal, killing the troops, further bankrupting the country, pro-invasion of Iran........you know all the things that continue to send our country backwards.
Pleblian, I guess as long the winning card is retained by Hillary or Giuliani, or indeed any other except for Kucinich/Paul/Gravel, Bush would not be instructed to call Marshall Law before 08 elections.
But it won't be a great surprise if he is so instructed.
keborn, I agree with you, but it's not the winning cards they have in their hand, it's the stacked cards they play against the people. The whole electral sytem is riged and people are fed up with it, there's going to be a passive revolt after the primary which will be kept in check by law enforcement. This will start a chain reaction that will lead into an outrite revote.
My friends used to make fun of my political predictions which I have been making since 98 where I have been right on ever count, they don't laugh anymore.
I don't know what it is I'm just good at solving political trajectories.
I see, Pleblian, so you're actually referring to people becoming restless... good reason for Marshall Law to suppress a Revolution by "homegrown homeland terr'rists"... you might be not far off the mark. Afterall, there does seem to be an air of freedom, just a breeze perhaps, but it could gain wind.
HR 1955 is a new piece of legislation already half way through Congress. If it is passed and signed into law by the Nazi Bush, then it is the end of America and the freedoms that we enjoy. Check it out. Google HR 1955. It will be a crime to "think." For the vast majority of you, you won't have to worry as you don't think anyway.
I think most Americans probably think its ok to detain suspected terrorists, however, the terrorists are soon not going to be extremists, but infact, constitutionalists.
Good question. I know what Ron Paul's answer will be. "No" (That is if they give him a chance to answer the question?) As for the other candidates "Yes"
And ya'h know Giuliani will use the false flag terrorist attacks of 9/11, and his image as the hero of 9/11. To pull on the heart strings of all those brainwashed fake conservatives. Who believe in giving up their liberties and inalienable human rights, to fight the war against the government controlled CIA tool Alqaeda. You just watch.
My question: On 9/11, we lost approximately 3K people. The Terrorist did fatal harm to approximately 0.001% of the U.S. population on 9/11. In contrast, the passed legislation (e.g. USA Patriot Act I&II, Military Commissions Act, and secretive presidential signing statements) subverts the U.S. Constitution, which affects 100% of us. Who poses the GREATER risk to 100% of Americans: Foreign terrorists or profiteering U.S. politicians bent on drastically changing our Constitution and liberties?
NO, not necessary! If the normal court system isn't effective or good enough for our government to use against terrorism suspects, then it isn't good or effective enough to be used against ANY criminal suspects at all and should be dismantled. IF the government succeeds with this, eventually your everyday local police will be able to do the same to you for any reason they deem suspicious. I guarentee IT! Good work Davis! Thank you for distinctly asking this important question.
Great question!!! Hope you get on the debate!

Adolf Hitler probably tried to justify the Enabling Act as well.
But will the Americans react the same way as the German people and submit?

Tools in the war on terror have already been shown to be the wrong tools. W started tapping phones months before 911. Didn't help did it?
JustThisGuyYaKnow 4 years ago 3
ECHELON... 'unwarranted' phone tapping has been going on since at least the 70s.
"But will the Americans react the same way as the German people and submit?" not submit, but like the germans actually did, we will embrace it.
not just americans, but europeans as well..
Q: what country do you think has the biggest video surveillance culture?

One day, some of us will be sitting in a FEMA camp because of H.R. 1955. (Thought Crimes) derrived from the individuals internet correspondance.
FEMA will have a "press conference" explaining to the tv sheeple that everthing is going well.
Welcome to New World Order!

How else can you lock up large groups of the population without warrant nor provocation nor any good reason what-so-ever?
Those FEMA civilian internment camps aren't going to fill themselves you know.
