  • Thanks for the comments everyone. You are all very kind and I appreciate your taking the time to write me.

  • im hes great nis angel baugh

  • Thanks for a very touching tribute to the greatest, Sammy Baugh.

  • During the 1940's he was the best player out there. Did it all and played both positions. You had to or you weren't playing in the league. I mean in the same year led the league in passing, punting, and interceptions. You will never see anything like that again. When he got older, just like some seniors he spoke his mind and you could obviously tell.

  • I CANT BELIEVE SAMMY BAUGH WAS ONLY 14 IN THE TOP 100.

If they had a chance to see how he played wow they would of made him number one. The little tape that I have seen of him is amazing. Not to mention the football back then was more like a rugby ball!

  • May I ask your name my grandpa might know you. His name is Jim Baugh?I don't know if you know him but Sammy Baugh is his great grandpa and that would make sammy my great great grandpa thank you for posting

  • colderbeer Sammy Baugh is my great great grandpa and I've been watching top one hundred and he hasn't been on it but he should be in the top 5. I'm only 11 years old but I'm thanking you for posting that

  • Sept/2010- I'm in my mid-40's, and the case can DEFINITELY be made that Sammy Baugh is the greatest player ever. And he would be a great/elite QB even in today's era too kiddies! He was also a BETTER punter than ALL of the current punters on all NFL rosters! Yeah, look up his punting stats sometime. When the NFL Network names the top 100 players ever this month, the list is a crock if Baugh isn't among the top 5, if not number ONE.

  • @colderbeer Thanks for your interesting comment.

  • Sammy Baugh is the greatest player in the history of the NFL. RIP.

  • Thank you for posting this. I would like to buy all your old football cards. I collect cards from 1935 to 1972.
