Wow, at 1:05 he says their callsigns are Tina and Nuts. There is another video here with these same two guys running the pylons at the Reno air races. I'm guessing the Navy has a F18 demo team similar to that of the F15 West Coast Demo team?
I got buzzed by a F/A-18C(?) in 1992 near Silver City New Mexico when I was on top of a hill. I could see the pilot's helmet and sun shield. Its loud enough without going super sonic. It was going fast enough though, I saw it before I heard it.
about 600-700 mph, but didnt break sound barrier. He cant do it over land or over an airshow causes its like illegal, and there was no sonic boom. mach 1 is about 750 mph.

yeah, i went on the saturday and i could see the shock cone during the carrier break. i thought he was going for a high speed pass to break.
