Thank you for this. I found it while searching to see if there might be a video posted of Branagh's stage Hamlet. I saw him do it from the second row of Leeds Grand and it was the best theatre experience I ever had. Just before the play started some tall guy with a big hairdo sat down right in front of me, his head blocking centre stage. I was mortified and resigned to a ruined evening. Within minutes I was transfixed and transported by the performance like the guy wasn't even there. Magical.
I have the EXACT SAME copy of Hamlet that the Branagh has in the beginning! It's the Arden Shakespeare edition. :) Recognized the yellow band across the top, took another look and... put a smile on my face that I have the same edition (out of all the dozens out there, haha!) he used. May be a silly thing but I don't much care. thx for putting this up, tediousoldfools!
Mmh, haven't I seen the actress who plays Ophelia here in that great 1997 adaptation of Austen's Persuasion?
