Imagine a Mystery Religion with many esoteric teaching mingled with science much in the same way the Mysteries infiltrated & distorted Christianity. Blurring the line between Right/Wrong Lies/Truth Yes/No Male/Female
@CausalObserver74 No, if anything it's the other way around Christianity distored the mysteries and destroyed countless information and taking themes and ideas from them to form its own belief structure, and there is really no line that is "blurred" it's all the perception of having to label things.
Imagine a Mystery Religion with many esoteric teaching mingled with science much in the same way the Mysteries infiltrated & distorted Christianity. Blurring the line between Right/Wrong Lies/Truth Yes/No Male/Female
This could just becoming from someone who is ignorant and tired but your attempts to connect psychology with quantum physics seems to fail to me
also the more and more I have learned about cosmological and quantum physics has convinced me even more steadily that there is a god and that mankind is unique among all existences from the 0th dimension to the 10th
also you seem to believe that the human mind has a infinite capacity of comprehension
cont. and is not limited and that there is no concept that it would not be able to grasp I disagree and contend that humanity even collectively can only understand a small amount of possibility and how existence works
provided it's true that you learned quantum physics and they just strengthened your believe in a god, there's an explanation:
you have been indoctrinated with this religious standpoint so you're unable to think critically and obtain correct information. you see it from the religious point of view, adapting it to match your point of view or refusing it (subconsciously or not).
@Danielnoctis It is also true that, to use your words almost verbatim, "you have been indoctrinated with your scientific standpoint so you're unable to think critically and obtain correct information. You see it from the scientific point of view, adapting it to match your point of view or refusing it (subconsciously or not)."
For the devout believer, no evidence is necessary. For the devout skeptic no evidence will suffice. Both suffer from bad neural imprinting and from memetic delusions.
Reality is out there, there are millions of people whose life is depending on a drop water or a piece bread. Are our scientists aware of that or too busy with self made n dimensional space time?
@live4Cha. It's not "self made". Also, what are you doing to give those people water and bread? I don't understand why it is up to physicists to feed them. It doesn't take a degree in science to fix those problems, or to know how to fix them. Most of them are political and economic problems.
the question for me revolves around force and motion. If we are indeed moving through dimensions what is the force moving us through it. Also, if we are witnessing plank scale frames as motion then speed and velocity plays into the issue because the necessary explanation for the higher rates of speed would be larger gaps of empty existence between frames... like a movie reel with someone running...the rate of the frames are the same but the information is missing between one frame and the next
giving the illusion of motion (the more information missing between frames) the higher the speed...my last hybrid question/comment is if we take the flat lander approach how would a flat lander erect a way of entering higher dimensions with the elements of his world and how would he manipulate tools in a 3d world because if it is not possible for him...it isn't for us either...(i take the functional approach...if you can't build or do anything with the knowledge then why know it?) thanks
1) Remember to use the proper reference frame. You're trying to relate things from the perspective of an onlooker (like looking at the frames of a movie go by). Instead, look at things from the subject's perspective. Let Einstein show you the way. (I've sent you the following video: v=V7vpw4AH8QQ)
2) The only things that you can manipulate are your motion through spacetime and choice.
3) You know it perhaps because it's interesting and may change your outlook and how you choose to live.
@hiyukenmusic. I think it's good to know this information because even though we cannot observe these higher dimensions, we can still affect them, and things in them can still affect us. In the flatlander example it is true that a flatlander cannot use tools in the third dimension, however it is not true that a flatlander cannot use 3 dimensional tools! even a flatlander would be able to observe and interact with a two dimensional cross-section of a three dimensional object...
(cont.) with enough cross-sections and a bit of imagination, the flatlander may even begin to get an idea of what this mystery dimension is. and so may we be able to understand and manipulate things in these dimensions if only by proxy, that is via their three or four dimensional 'shadows'. Not to mention that it is just interesting to think about, I mean there are worse things you could be spending your brainpower on :)
I hope you understand that "information equals reality" is a phrase that quantum physicists like Anton Zeilinger of the University of Vienna use, the phrase is not my invention. I embrace it, though, because it interfaces so nicely with the Imagining the Tenth Dimension concept - by the time you've worked your way through the visualization, you are furthest out at the "Information" side, while down here in the 3D "now" of this instant we are completely at the "reality" side. How do they relate?
if information = reality. and we record our history. this would make our history a reality. which would give us the sensation of present and past. but if we change how history is written, and teach each person the "altered history", does this change the past. Because we all preceive the past as this new history. The past becomes this new history. as a result of the law stated here, "information = reality.".
This is true in a way, but I think it also overlooks the fact that a real history did happen, and that that history had effects on the world which are long lasting, and may be affecting us today. We could change our history books to say that something did or did not happen, but the real life effects of that event can not be erased. If new events were to occur because of the change, then they would not really be related to the original event and would be more related to the act of changing.
Taken from wikipedia: "A meme consists of any unit of cultural information, such as a practice or idea, that gets transmitted verbally or by repeated action from one mind to another." If this is indeed the case, can a meme be transmitted directly from an action or experience prior to human interaction? cont'd
cont'd...i.e. If I heard a piano being played for the first time and was never told about chords or music, would I have the same emotions or experience listening to major chords as oppose to minor chords?
Its been said that the two connote different feelings.
That's a very good question! Another video blog I've posted here is called The Geometry of Music, it's very related to your question.
I believe there are definitely patterns within music that communicate memes at a primal level. Major and minor chords may not be the best example though, because Western culture puts more emphasis on the happy/sad meaning of major/minor chords, but there are many other elements of melodic shape and rhythmic structure that do seem more universal in their meaning.
From wikipedia:A meme consists of any unit of cultural information, such as a practice or idea, that gets transmitted verbally or by repeated action from one mind to another.
With that in mind can we assume that the memes that are "transmitted" from major and minor chords played on a piano can only be differentiated through some previous human communication? ...cont'd
The geometry in the backdrop correlates with his voice.

reminds me of the chakra system where
the 4th chakra (or dimension if you will) is the time and emotional center
the 5th chakra is the knowledge center (information)
would that mean that the sixth dimension is governed by intuition and intention?
interesting implications with this analogy
