Remember that the force of the blast is taking the easiest way out, so you won't have the full force of the blast on the chamber. Putting gunpoweder in a sealed tank, and in this cannon is far from the same, and the forces on the chamber is much lower.

@ganymedeIV4 he's using black powder which out of a cannon like this would generate around 5,000-15,000 psi, take in mind this this a shock force, most scuba tanks hold roughly 4,500psi constantly

4,500psi would translate to well over 5,000kpa, (300bar) and the only tank in the world that can handle those are the poly-carbon Luxfer 105CF tanks

Hes using a regular old MC tank, You can take those outside when they are discharged and fold them in half. i mean just look at 2:03.......

Sorry I did not make it, a guy named Mark from Ohio made it from a compressed gas cylinder. Those cylinders are usually safe for launching bowling balls with appropriate powder charges.
