I say in the beginning it was annoying but you donno how her mom is either and what she was saying on the phone...but when the time came...it isnt hard to move it outside. i dreamt of my wedding outside, i didnt do it and I regretted it ever since because I followed the rules.
I used to photograph weddings. Once, I had a mother of the bride hire me to shoot an outdoor wedding on a mountain top, literally. I told her she should have a contigency plan, as I had seen outdoor weddings rained out before. She ignored me. Just before the wedding, a squall came through and blew everything-chairs, flower stands, archway, lattice, everything, completely off of the mountain. Had the ceremony in an empty church, without flowers or anything.
My cousin had his wedding there. It was so beautiful, the inside was amazing. The outside was so small, I don't know how you would do something like what she wanted.
My h2b says it's more my day than his (but even tho center is put more on the bride it came originally from commercialism)

Anyway, I agree, the wedding is about the bride AND groom!! I'm getting married in June and I'm making sure my h2b is going to be having what he wants too.

It's not just your wedding, so get over it and let your friends and family have some input. they might actually help you and make planning a lot less stressful.

The bad part is these brides believe it's all about them and not the groom. Meaning everyone should follow what the bride wants...when it's suppose to be about the bride and groom. So if these guys had the balls to step up, they would have said "marry yourself" and walk.
