  • That's impressive for a Non vtec motor but I have to ask wats the point? You can get a h22 long block with an h2b kit and a b16 transmission to hit 190whp with bolt ons and a tune..

  • @raidacaipo might as well go with the lighter b18c1 or b20 vtec. Hell b17a1 is a nice engine to.

  • @raidacaipo two points. one is to whoop all the kids who think they're top shit just coz they have vtec and the other is to show off the potential of an overlooked b18 non-vtec engine :)

    (don't get me wrong i just believe this engine needs some love!)

  • nlow thats a honda my boy.. note the sexy sound of the LS non vtec.. oha nd vtec killer is like the cvvtcs in the nissan sentra se-R spec v.. thats my daily driver and the variable valve event is continuous..meaning as soon as you accelerate its available..i had no idea vtec killer was that way til the one guy in the post mentioned it..nice

    You must be stupid.... Toda Vtec Kilers are for VTEC heads.... it eliminates the Vtec lobe and makes the regular lobes bigger.... as if you were always " in Vtec".

    This car a Crower cams.... probably stage 3's.

  • Joseph, I get the impression your lying. Your description of your car is pretty vague and generic, not to mention your attitude about racing is ridiculous. We all build up our cars to have fun, racing. Money is just thrown around when ego's clash, plus if your car is so built, why are you worried about it breaking? Its a Honda after all!

  • @DIZKUNT dam u must kno nothing bout hondas no offence tho title states its a LS. LS engines are from integras 90'-01' ranging from 130hp to 142hp vtec engines are from gsr's si's type r's civic/integras/crx's/s2k'sand from newer preludes and every civic 06 and up same as teggys but from 02 nd up all are different engines b/h/d/j/k series enginesthe weakest vtec engine i would hav to say is about a 125hp the strongest being 305hp coming out of the new TL hpoe i have been some help

  • @DIZKUNT and 4 future reference LS's are non vtec unless they hav had a vtec head dropped on it but then they will be considered Ls-vtec aka Ls/v aka frankenstein<-- no one calls dem dat anymore but i like to and not jus any vtec head can be dropped on a ls block only other b series like the b16 b17 b18c b18c1 b18c5 b18a1 and b1 are LS engines just like the b20 which come out the late 80's/early 90's preludes and late 90s/early 2000s crv are also non vtec just think of the honda world

  • Because our next tranny will use a long 1st with a Y21 2nd that is shorter than S80 ratio.

    Could you list the specifics of your build? I would assume P30 (or similar) pistons to up the compression? What kind of bolt-ons did you go with?

    What work did you do to the bottom end to handle those rpm?

  • The bottom end is stock crank, still on stock rods, N1 Honda Crank pulley, all parts with properly balance.

  • I could not find that build, any idea how could I find on Honda-tech
