Turn based RPGs is where all these came from. No appreciation and or degradation for that kind of RPG just is up to personal preference, but to bash it is just close minded.

This game does look intresting though, more Story-wise than anything else. Battles could be a bit fun too, since is on a larger scale than just 1-4 characters.
