  • My new favorite version of an old favorite song! Jamey, you are the real deal!

  • Like Johnny Cash and Willie, there's something in his voice that just can't be taught

  • POWERFUL STUFF! As I listen to The Good Ol' Boy's outside my bedroom window accross the St at The Nashville Auto Diesel College here in Nashville,Tennessee!Come to think of it,it's 3:30am on a Saturday,hmmm...thing's that go bump in the night. • first time i heard this song i was in a real bad spot , back against the wall..i got roots that run deep like this song and in a prison cell it felt like i was talking to my grandfather.....

  • Thank you for posting this. Jamey is the real deal.

  • Beautiful

  • saw Jamey in concert in Spartanburg SC and he was awesome...strong voice and he sings with conviction

  • Doesn't get anymore real.

  • Man! I like the accoustic version better...wish he had more accoustic out there.

  • @akbrown15

you should check out the studio 330 session videos on CMT if you haven't. The version of "In Color" is even better than this one I think. He's awesome

  • damn that man has a great voice, and even better song writing ability, an artist for the times..

  • thats because the whole album was recorded LIVE in the studio

  • wow it sounds just like the album version..

  • he actually got the honky tonk song from his friend while they were at wildhore saloon in nashville his friend said man look at the badonk a donk on her then he said thats a honkytonk badonkadonk.. jamey took that and made it a song with a co writer. ya can see him on her in a interview he tells the story

THIS IS WHAT COUNTRY LOOKS LIKE AND SOUNDS LIKE!! JAMEY LOVE IT MAN KEEP'EM COMIN.. THE REST OF YA PERFORMS TRY TO LEARN A BIT FROM THIS MAN...

  • I love this song! I lost my father on '03, he was 75, and this sounds like his life!!

  • just love it !!!!!& yall

  • he sounds the exact same every time he does this song no matter where he's doin it

  • Great tune, I love this song too ! 10**********`s in my book. Check out my originals. I`d like for Jamey Johnson to sing one or more of my originals. Dudes got a great voice.

  • thanks for posting this fine gem!! Jamey johnson is the man!!!!

  • First off Honkeytonk Badonk was a song he co wrote. If you look at the last 5 years or so of his life you would see how it inspires his music. This is the new face of country and it couldn't get any better to me.

  • pure country

  • He won't change his style he's like Hank III and Dale Watson. Its his music and he won't change

  • A true country singer!! Not commercial at all, I hope he stays "outlaw"!!

  • Not commercial? Are you kidding me. He fucking wrote Honkeytonk Badonkadonk, the biggest commercial, sell out country song ever.

  • Actually, you're both right. This guy is proof that you can find commercial success doing something with meaning. Sure, a tune like Honkytonk Badonkadonk isn't exactly the most profound artistic statement, but it has the kind of commercial potential to generate enough revenue to sustain the production of deeper music. Then there is a song like this: perfect and brilliant in every way.

  • jamey would have never ever put that out with him doing it...He wrote that song just for fun and as a song just to play for a laugh..He played it at a small show back in 2005 and it was then when the lable wanted to buy the song for someone like trace adkins to do.

  • living proof that god gave some alot of talent and not so much to the rest of us

  • album of the year, man of the year

  • NICE vid.....very rare to find stuff on JJ.....

  • Its funny at 1:46 the guy hits a open string bad note and starts smiling and jamey looks over like wtf?

  • Love this song! Jamey is cool as hell! Thank you for sharing this with us!!!

  • AWESOME !!

  • just awsome.. this guy is amazing

  • man you sound amazing! you are awesome!!!! :D

  • that was awesome Bubba!!! I'm so glad ya'll are on here to share this with us! thanks for posting it! I love Jamey Johnson!!! yeeeehaw!
