  • I saw Dio play one of these little places and remember asking myself WHY would a man like Dio play a place but I was certainly lucky

  • "poets starving, children bleed, nothing he got he really needs" but still one of my favorite RJD tunes! You will never die Ronnie!

  • Nice Quality man.. \m/ this song is effin awesome....

Long Live Rock N Roll \m/

Long Live The Voice Of Metal \m/

Long Live Ronnie James Dio \m/

  • nothing like a small venue to enjoy rock......

  • Thanks for this RiP RJD

  • I saw him open for Maiden right around this time. It was the only time I ever saw him live. His voice was so unbelievably strong. I was in awe.

And, now he is dead and I will never see him again.

    R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio.

BTW, this is my favorite Dio song. I just love part where the band comes in during the breathing part at the end of the song.

  • Is this song anti-christian? I'm Catholic, but I love Dio's music, but I don't know about this song.

  • its anti fundimentilest

  • @Fettster777: It is anti-christian. Or at least the lyrics in this song are questioning Christianity.

  • @Fettster777 I have the same doubt... LOL

  • @Fettster777 He is talking about how fearful it is being crammed with those horrible catholic sights at a young age

  • Shit was this in someones back yard..

  • love the small venue

  • Stop it...............UT suck

  • Dio should excuse himself for stealing the main theme from King Crimson ("21st Century Schizoid Man")

  • kinda upset when i cant see the skill how tracy g did it.

  • Holy shit, what a great song!

Strange Highways is one of two Dio albums I don't have. The other is Dream Evil. (I also want the Intermission EP 'cause I'd love to get the studio version of Time to Burn.)

I have all his stuff with Rainbow and Black Sabbath including the new "Heaven & Hell" album The Devil You Know, but I don't have the Rainbow live album, In Concert.

Then of course there's the Elf stuff, and good luck finding any of that stuff in stores.

Ronnie James Dio is my hero.

  • i have the rainbow live cd from1977 with Dio and there is also a DVD with ronnie and rainbow from germany in 1977 awesome stuff buddy and of course the stuff with black sabbath and dio solo albums are awesome

  • He is my hero too!

  • I think DIO kicks ass but this song just doesnt work for me.

  • This is not bad for a live video, normally the sound is too distorted and it sounds like popping. ROCK ON!! \m/\m/ 100/5

  • An awesome song but unfortunately underrated.

I love it, thanks for this vid.
