@worras2007 Don't act a victim, LIthuania mostly killed its own economy after regaining independence from the soviet union, yes the occupation was terrible, yes there were deportees, but there were enough work places for every1 tho money at those times could buy you little cause the stores were half empty
but now its different the stores are full but what good does it do if the people don't have a place to work in

I'm no expert but LT before the occupation diddnt have much to begin with in terms of finance.

The Soviet Union built most of the infrastructure you see today in LT if you don't believe me check it. Before the occupations LT was an agricultural country that used horses and plows to maintain the fields.
The Soviets left 2 things when they left - a scar and infrastructure.

Damn, did you ever know that e.g. in 1938, just before WWII, Lithuania's economy was even stronger than the economy of Finland? OK, Finland was lucky to defend against Soviets.
