Thanks. Your video did help although I wonder if someone can answer something for me - I have a hop vine growing really well on its second season which I started from seeds. Only problem is, not a single cone so I suspect its male. I live in North UK and I don't know what variety the vine is. Are some plants just useless males, simple as that?
I started growing 4 different varieties about 5 years ago here in in New England. The Chinook produces are great yield but the other 3 (Mt. Hood, Sterling and Christal) don't seem to like my climate so much and are very stunted and produce few cones.
I live in Los Angeles CA and im growing hops, does the climate effect the hops. and i just planted my rhizomes and i only have 2 sprouts on each rhizome. they been planted for 2 weeks now so should i wait and they would eventually grow i know it sounds dumd but please get back to me. -Louis
Can I use the hops I harvest the first year in my brew? Should my homebrew supply store carry the clones? Do you know of a site where I can buy supplies in bulk instead of paying ridiculous prices at the store? Thanks in advance.
I try. To growing chinook hops. I'm in the north east n.y. and will give It a go.

Can you grow hops upside down in a hanging 5gallon bucket similar to tomatoes? you can gradually raise the bucket as the hops grow...
