this is the old training they did away with in 03. Marines do M.C.M.A.P now. The style in this video looks cool but they determined it wasnt effective enough so they redesigned the whole process to what we have now

@bordone That wasnt L.I.N.E. training. I was in from 2001 til 2010 when a medical problem forced me out and that was the same training I always got in the Corps.

I've competed in a mixed martial arts bout against a marine who excelled in their close quarters training. He was decent. Not as good as a full time mixed martial artist. Of course that is within the rules of a MMA bout.

Go to a Gracie or Machada school for 3 yrs and you will then be competent. You just can't train people in 2 months and certainly can't train teachers. It's a clusterfuck of neophytes thinking they're badass when in reality, any blue belt with 2 stripes of equal weight will TOTALLY DOMINATE in a match.

the Marines dont need that as they never combat honest and open. They shoot you from the back, they raid you from a Helicopter or they will throw napalm to a primary school, but they never combat one on one, as that would be a fair combat and they are not taking that risk
