what kinda cord are you using? and where to get it?
Actually these are two turk heads interwoven in each other.
If you'd remove the grey rope after making this knot You'd see that orange string also forms a turks head of the same size as a grey one

which part is confusing you?
it started as a turks head knot but by adding the second strand and collor it changed
