Firstly, this is a Fab video, I come back to watch it time and time again!!!
Secondly, I am trying to find out which is the best way to handle the transmitter sticks.. do you use first finger and thumbs or just your thumbs? I find that just thumbs feels more natural but I get the impression that finger and thumb might give me more precise control.
Thanks! Yea that is an age old debate. The pros will generally tell you to use the method you feel more confortable with. I started out pinching and I think it definitely helps with precision flying. If you use just thumbs then just add some expo in and you shuld be fine.
Way cool. I like how you shot some self-portrait video WHILE mowin' the lawn. That's multitasking and mad skills! But, this was more than a year ago, let's see where you are now.
Loved the Ride! Awsome! Cool to see the shadow of the Heli, the side mount is the best position, and the audio mix of hearing the blades bite are great. I had to play it twice and have sent it to friends for viewing.
amazing vid :) i have a 2.4ghz wireless camera and wondered if anyone knew anyway of recording from it, i would rather blow a £15 ebay wireless camera than a £200 digital camocorder ill sure you agree for the modeller on a tight budget, i just dont want to lug a vcr up the flying field or a dvd recorder for that matter, io fi could record to hard drive or a dv disk it would be excellent
Check out my posts on helifreak(.)com (search for fogger) and you should come up with the thread where I described the camera mount etc. I'm guessing the Nitro has more vibration than my 600E though...
I got the camera at best buy (Nikon Coolpix L3), but it's way too heavy for a 450... you might do some searching on helifreak and see if others have ideas for cameras that are small enough for that heli to carry...
Thanks for the nice comments! I have pictures of the heli on Helifreak dot com, just search for Fogger and check out my gallery :)Also there are pics of the camera setup somewhere on there, you would just have to search through my posts.
Superb !!! I'm looking into buying one of these helicopters hence my youtube search. I have saved this under a favourite. Could you please please post some nice slow flights to compliment your outstanding flying skills and some pictures of your setup?
awesome video! make a video where we can see your machine! i just brougth a trex 450 (which is about the size of the one of the blades of yours :D ) just a hint! i woudnt fly inverted with a camera like that. ive seen a guy doing the same thing when the camera just fell... last thing we saw was a trex 600 (brand new) roaring on the ground!

Wuestng nice flight and pretty long too. How much mah are you putting back into these packs?
DeanKosta 4 years ago
I typically put back 2700-2900. I have cut my flights down to 6 min now as I'm flying a little harder these days and pulling more amps.
