Let's face it...the guy is naked because he WANTS TO BE, he (and she) knows he will be seen. He could take 5 secs. to put something on, or for that matter, he could've had something on in the tub like a speedo or something...but NO, THEY LIKE TO BE NAKED... Let's say for example, he was really overweight, or had a little tiny ----, he would not be showing it, and all of a sudden there would be time to "cover up"... so YES, it IS very "natural", BUT they are also PURPOSELY NAKED :)

@blueskyy108 To be honest i dont really remember what it was, it was a tincture of some sort of herb that was to help me stop bleeding, which we were using instead of pitocin. Which we shortly after decided to use because the bleeding was persistent.
@sspeziale13 They gave her something that would cause the Uterus to contract to get the placenta out. She could bleed and bleed and send the mother into shock. Thats why it was important to get that out.
Congrats to you and your hubby. It is appearant you have a loving relationship so don't listen to the dumb nuts that find it a problem he is naked. I didn't have a choice but to have both of mine at the hospital so I think you are very brave and your baby looks wonderful and cute and cuddly. It doesn't last long pretty soon she will be 11 and wanting her own cell phone. :-)
@allboutus4real We waited for the cord to stop pulsing, which means its done supplying the baby with necessary nutrients. Which it was before my placenta came out i believe.

@paddedshell No we didnt take any Lamaze class, we took a birth class with our midwife based on Pam England's book Birthing from within! It was so perfect for our birth setting, most other classes are focused around hospital births which are so much different in every way!

Plus birth is such a natural thing, especially this birth, some people feel more comfortable being natural in the nude. Finally, it can help him connect with his partner, who was also nude.
