@ArtFirstColors Thanks for the information! Perhaps you can complete it by adding another comment & take up where you left off! It was perhaps more the rule than the exception, for lyrics to be composed separately, as 'poetry' so to speak, and then put with some tune (or tunes) that fit the meter. The same words often are put with various tunes. For example, there are at least half a dozen Sacred Harp settings for the words 'On Jordan's Stormy Banks I Stand.' (see my posted vid of this song)
