Bryan is awesome, Carmen is just ok. He carried that team, not her. Lucky for her she had him as her partner otherwise there's much better than her out there. Karina and Joanna for instance,actually Elena brings more to the floor than Carmen. She just isn't as good as they are.

Rumba does come from Cuba, however over decades of competition and sytling, the dance has evolved with a flourish and polish. Anyone who doesn't like it doesn't have to but rumba basic still has cuban motion. If you do not have cuban motion you will never be able to dance the way Brian and Carmen dance.

Lovely video! didn't he dance with Karen Hardy in the past? I also just saw a rumba with him and karen on youtube, and I have to say, carmen's dance style pales in comparison (as much as i think she's great)! Karen is much more passionate and lovely to watch- seems to really love what she's doing. So I reckon carmen balances bryan better as he's naturally also quite bold (and THE most amazing dancer).

Care to elaborate on this good reason? I doubt you can. I know a reason, which is called politics. There are many judges who are not acting like professional people should and make judgements on which country they represent, who they dance with, who are their coaches, what's their ranking position at the moment etc. But yeah, I want to hear your good reason. And make it good.

I have watched many videos of Bryan Watson & Carmen but in this other videos I always looked at the way Bryan is dancing. But in this rumba is Carmen a bit more in the central point.

I know they suppose to beautiful and everything. But I never felt for Bryan and Carmen's dancing. Bryan can really move his body better than any other male latin dancer. It's strange that I just can't find myself in love with his style of dancing. Especially dances like rumba, I normally enjoy more when he and Carmen dances Jive and Chacha. Jive seems to be their best to me.

This is rumba. It's a ballroom dance from the Latin section of International Style and has nothing to do with Cuban rumba.

Dance art my black ass, Rumba is a family of music rhythms and dance styles that originated in Africa and were introduced to Cuba and the New World by African slaves. Rumba has 3 parts to it: Yambú, Guaguancó and Columbia. What they do on that show is not Rumba. If it's a dance art, they need to call it something else. Maybe you can't understand that.

Yeah, it's called Rumba and its "roof" category is International Latin. This is not the sort of typical rumba you see, because this is a _show_ dance. You can break the norms in show dances, like Slavik and Karina with their absolutely gorgeous rumba. Sure, it wasn't hot and spicy, but it was another intereption of the dance and it was an intereption of the music. Watch them do it in a competition and it's totally different.
