Maybe I haven't gotten there yet, but...where are the "war crimes" Kissinger is charged with here?
He's certainly guilty of shirking an attainable peace for more war and death in the name of power, but that seems more Machiavellian and political than utterly "evil"...to put it another way, it's certainly NOT something he should have gotten a Nobel Peace Prize for, and he deserves some fierce criticism, to be sure...but it's not like he had an Auschwitz going...? Have I misunderstood?

I think the Trials of Henry Kissinger was a very hard and cruel view of Henry Kissinger. I am glad that I did not bother to read it because it makes him look like a present day Hitler. I really do no think he wanted to attack Cambodia no I do not think so. Hitichens should not have done what he did with this book.
