  • how much can I expect to spend on something like that? I have a 2003 Crown Victoria

  • @TheRunningHippo some people can pick them up from auction for as little as 3500

  • @Agrippa63 hes talking about the exhaust

  • @Agrippa63 I meant how much did you spend on the flowmaster super 44 including labor and all

  • Stupid car drivers. Get a truck!!!

  • @thefarmerism What if I don't want to?

  • @thefarmerism

I don't quite see your logic; cars are designed for a specific purpose as are trucks, vans, etc.

  • This video pretty much proves that the drivetrains between the Mustang and the Vic are the same damn thing. The Mustang has more aggressive PCM tuning and is quicker due to the fact it is lighter. A P71 weighs in at about 4000LB without police gear. For a 2-ton car, these things are jackrabbits.

  • And i have my stock rear, 243 one wheel PULLIN! Want to upgrade to a posi and higher gears but not sure which gears and i think I'd more across d road wit posi, she already scares me( and i luv it)

  • I agree wit djmike5384, mustangs r not all as ppl make dem to b whn there r otha cara out dere such as d cv, which my friend has wit d police package and it took him awhile to catch up but he was able to roll wit me @ 135 wit my RIMS on, i give props whr due and u c dis is a Chevy/Ford thing

  • do you have a lot of engine mods? that things gets off the line and up to speed quick, even 4 a CV..

  • Sounds sweet.

  • nice

  • This looks like a Police Interceptor. Those things run like scalded dogs. Exhaust sounds wicked nasty!!

  • thumb if listening with headphones turned all the way up.

  • Yes the crown vic has the same drive train but it weighs alot more. Power to weight ratio is were its at my friend. Thats why the new mustang beats up on the new camaros and challengers.

  • I just bought a 2004 p71 (its also white). Love it to death lol

  • @BurninC4rtrage mang my uncle had a 95 impala ss my other uncle had an 94 vette my unc's impala had 260 stock 330lbs of torque thats how i kno i seen it on the dyno mag. my unc's vette had 350 hp 400 torque stock im nit going by the book. i kno 4 a fact u may thank that the impala got all that power stock naw mang im telling ya. impala anit slow though. bitch go 160 tops stock. its a fool. vette juss more powerful lighter made out of fiberglass.

  • @BurninC4rtrage vette ever made...AMAZING

  • @BurninC4rtrage i got the info from the encyclopedia.

  • @BurninC4rtrage i juss looked it up the vett has 350 hp 450fp of torque the 9c1 caprice and the impala ss got 260 hp 330 fpof torque. and yeah the vett is made out of fiberglass so it is lighter but more powerful none the less.

  • @BurninC4rtrage that caprice got the corvette motor in it but its not as powerful as the corvet engine.

  • @BurninC4rtrage that depends on your definition of better, if you're going for speed and cornering the Caprice doesn't have a chance, but if you're going for comfort, space and people hauling then the Corvette is left in the dust, my point is you shouldn't underestimate a car based only on size, plenty of big cars that'll whip little economy cars

  • did u cut the cats off

  • a Great piece of advice HERE.. if your Gonna put 44's on and you have cats you had Better get the 10 Series I wasted $300 those damn cats Restrict the Loudness alot on my p71 aint no Louder than my 40's on my 97 vic i,m freakin pissed what a waste!

  • haha fail...

you spent money on a gay ass car.. not cool.

  • @mattyy675 thats because really its the same engine

  • bhp?

  • i like that sound man sounds hard i got a 2002 Vic P71 you think Super 44s will be loud on mines?

  • Which pipe sounds better (deeeper and powerful) stock H or an X on a 02 Vic ?

  • Which mufflers are louder on a 02 P71 magnaflow or Flowmaster ?

  • THOSE PIPES SOUND SOO FUCKIN GOOD!! GAVE ME A HARD ON!! LMAO!! HOW MUCH U PAY??

  • '

how come this car do not have 2 amber yellow lights on the rear taillights for turning sign and emergency parking lot

  • @bestamerica Up until 1999 they did. Now the turning signals are just intergrated into the brake light, like most newer cars.

  • xxxthebxxx,

    '

that is awful automaker is not good making this car

  • Comment removed

  • "its not slow its underpowered/undergeared" That means its slow buddy.

  • this is v8 aint no way in hell im payin for the gas on this.

  • i cant find super 40s or anything for my crown vic. where did u get ur

  • I can still see my granny in her Crown Vic driving like this...

  • Comment removed

  • awesome sound

  • People need to understand that a Crown Vic is basically a four door version of the mustang. The drivetrain is very similar to a Mustang so I don't understand how you can call these slow.

  • @OldsCutlass1978 WEIGHT vs Weight

  • @OldsCutlass1978 yeah your rite it has a 4.6 and people also should realize highway patrol and city cops use them. they obviously do work!

  • @OldsCutlass1978 are you fucking serious? they share nothing with a mustang except engine DISPLACEMENT, its not even the same engine. Its a 4000 pound family sedan with 210 hp... not a fucking mustang and not even close, id like to know how it is 'basically a mustang', please explain this to me

  • @Leafsrule016 Ahh dude 2004 Crown Vics made 239hp and 250hp interceptor form and the same year the Mustang only made 260hp. They are basically the same motor as both are 4.6L 2Vs along with both having 4 speed transmissions as options.

  • @OldsCutlass1978 Yeah and f150's with 4.6 2v's are mustangs too (truck-tangs) because they have the same displacement. Makes sense. Nothing like a mustang, 15 second quarter mile for an interceptor with a few light mods, nothing special. Drove a grand marquis for a year and a half, ran 15.3 with a few bolt ons.. definatly nothing like a mustang.

  • @Leafsrule016 I have both a 2003 Mustang and P71 Crown Vic. Stang is quicker in the 1/4 mile where it is lighter but the Crown Vic is a great handler and is fast on the top end. In stock form the Stang was slow in 5th gear with a 3:27 rear end. Vic has a 3:73 rear end and keeps pulling. I have driven both daily on a twisty country road and the only advantage the stang has is pick up off the corners or if you drop it down on a straight. I have chased down Jettas on that road in the CV

  • @djmike5384 i dont have much to say about the handling of any mustang non fox body but my grand marquis always handled better then my fox stangs ever did, they felt flimsy and although a vic/merc is a big car they handle a lot better then there 3900 pound weight implies. there just nothing like mustangs and to say there a 4 door mustang is idiotic

  • @OldsCutlass1978 4-Door muscle car... WIN =D

  • @OldsCutlass1978 I have done over 140 while in a chase.

  • @OldsCutlass1978 Maybe the old Mustangs with the 4.6, but a 2004 Vic is really nothing like a 2004 Mustang, other than maybe the transmission.

You're comparing a big, body on frame four door sedan to a unibody 2 door sports car....

  • Sounds nice man.

  • LMAO!!!

  • i think they should only let cops have crown victorias, because everytime i see a taxi (or 80 year old people drive them (in pairs)) i cringe because its so hard to tell when they are oncoming if they are a pig or not.

  • @MartinTheGeesest thats one of benefits of drivin a p71 ,, you get respect on the road...

  • Love the FLOWMASTER sticker over the lisc plate!!

  • Hey I dont know if you already answered this question or not but what size are the mufflers like in and out thanks.

  • @lawnmowerTim flowmaster supper 44 are 2,1/4 and the pipes off an 03 PI are 2, 1/2

  • hey does anybody know how much MPG this car gets stock?

  • @Bosmob The mods i have don't change much for mpg. I just drove the car across the country 6k miles round trip. I averaged 24mpg with fairly aggressive highway driving, there was quite a bit of driving in mountains too. The most i've ever got was 27mpg that was doing 65 on the highway.

  • @P71intercept0r wat in the city do u get?

  • @P71intercept0r 27 mpg with this beast? no way

  • @Bosmob 2mpg

  • @JunTaoMotorSports niccee! that's exactly what I was wanting to hear!

  • @Bosmob I just got 28mpg in my 98 Grand Marquis going 65mph for half and 74mph the other half...I went 300mi. The 630 miles (plus or minus) round trip I got 25.6mpg with a little city driving mixed in. All I have are true duals minus 2 of 4 cats, with glasspacks, and a K&N air filter. I have gotten it up to 29.5 mpg on the dashboard/computer (which is usually pretty accurate only 0.4-0.8mpg off either way).

    In general 2.73 axle ratio 24-27 mpg highway, 3.27ratio 23-25ish mpg, 3.55 ratio 22-23mpg

  • @Bosmob In my everyday driving, which is about 70% highway, I get 15-17mpg. That's it.

  • @Bosmob 16 city and idk how much highway

  • @Bosmob anythig frm 20 to 29 miles per gallon

  • @Bosmob really? REALLY? That car is nothing short of BLUE'S BROTHER'S COOL with a great exhaust sound. NICE!

  • @Bosmob Ok I want one of those old cop cars with a big motor and a backseat that smells like piss. That fuckin car has some character bro!

  • @GR8PHD" backseat that smells like piss" lmao you just made me spit my drink out my nose lol

  • @Bosmob i dont know about stock but after all my mods my scanguage2 states that i get 28 city and 38 freeway,,,,and thats avrage

  • @Bosmob 15 city 18 hwy

  • @austinforgets1 my 1989 Crown Victoria that i had nearly 10 years ago got better mileage than that... your off w/ those numbers

  • @Bosmob

    I have a '98 that I keep at police pursuit spec. I get 16 city / 28 highway at 70.

So P71intercept0r is giving you good numbers.

If you drive conservatively you will get decent mileage... if you wanna do what I do sometimes and go a little nuts, be prepared to watch your fuel drop in short order.

  • @roundsm18 my scanguage 2 states that i pull 28 city 38 highway with all the mods i have and i drive @ 1200rpms when i can......

  • Is that with the factory H pipe or did you switch out other factory components besides the mufflers?

  • are they stock cats?

  • Damn i want one of those cars

  • hahahahaha rofl thats funny

  • are the super 44's deeper louder and more agressive than the original 40 series?

  • @aaminjoshi91 yeah they are

  • @person3213 well i got one a few weeks ago, already got a vid up of it. Also got some other exhaust vids up of my 4.7l durango. Check em out man!

  • did you need a heat shield?

  • @P71intercept0r awesome thanks :)

  • is this a dual exhaust system or is she single piped?...i dont know too much about all cv's because im not a ford person....sounds damn good tho

  • It's dual exhaust, factory H-pipe

  • sounds damn good!!

  • thats soo weird!!! i hear a mustang gt but see a crown vic

  • @mattyy675 got the same engine 4.6L V8 :) hahahahaha i wanna buy this flowmaster

  • @mattyy675 same engine!

  • @mattyy675 lol

  • @Brutalnemisis you stupid shut up bitch

  • 90 % of people who will take the time to talk smack about any car are jelous.

no one ever claimed the crown vic is quick .. its a 4000 pound car with 250 horses ..

saying " oh there slow becasue my ____ can beat it " just makes you look like a jackass

  • @Mr99pi You must own and mod a vic or have something slower lol.

  • holy shit you must be able to read my user name ! good job !

    i own a 15 second car , its very slow ..

i like it though , thats what matters ...lol

  • Atleast your at one with your pathetic self.

  • driving a slow car is pathetic ?

what do you drive dickweed ?

  • 11sec 86 mc ss

daily drive a 95 impala ss

    and I have a 1964 impala.

    Understand the motives now?

  • Its all out of funny cockass.. One of my cars is a 95 impala ss ..

  • It's not heavy. . .it can just wreck more shit then you.

  • massachusetts plate

  • lol id hate to hear that if i was being pulled over, lol no hope of escape

  • So many comments from people who think they know what they're talking about but don't. It's a Crown Vic, it's not slow it's underpowered/undergeared for it's weight. And why not put an exhaust on it? It has the same V8 a Mustang has.

  • and you are just as wrong as the rest, underpowered is relative. the vic is a LUXURY SEDAN. not a damn sports car. that being said the standard 4.6L still pushes over 200rwhp. and if you have a CVPI then you have over 215rwhp depending on the year. and if you have ever ridden in one you would know that the car is not made to have full jerk that you get in the stangs, its a smooth riding, smooth shifting car that has pretty good power

  • yea its likes todays trucks there not meant for speed but they still move

  • @TheMostHolyOne crown vic is not a LUXURY car mang who the hell told u that

  • and i dont mean to be an ass but i am tired of comments from everyone ragging on the car. i own a 99 CVPI and it is the shit, it beats the hell out of most cars stock and its a fucking bedroom on wheels.

  • How am I wrong? Did I ever say it was supposed to be as fast or handle as well as the Mustang? No, I said there's no reason not to put a performance exhaust on it, because a lot of people here think it's pointless. I never said the P71 wasn't comfortable, I said it's slow compared to the Mustang which is why people think it's pointless to mod one.

  • One thing I want to do is get a retired Vic and get my hands on the 2011 Interceptor/whatever succeeds the CVPI and its powertrain and put it in the Vic itself. Build these things up and get a 4000 lb car that'll probably do 0-60's in the 6 second range.

  • Just put the new Mustang GT drivetrain (5.0 engine and MT82 6-speed manual transmission) in a 2010 P71 and work your way up from there. Wait until Kenne Bell comes out with a supercharger kit, then throw that in there too.

  • @dodge69874 do you know there done making the crown vic

  • Yeah, I think the last year for it is going to be the 2010 or 2011.

  • makes me sad to see them go

  • Well, what can you do? I'll probably buy a 2010 or 2011 P71 in a few years and keep it real cherry. Maybe it'll be worth something some day, maybe it won't. Either way it'll be a sweet ass ride.

  • yep i i now own a 2007 p71 soon to be filmed

  • That's cool bro. You should put some Flowmasters on it. I have a 2000 P71, that I bought two years ago with 56,000 miles. Now it has 82,000, but I'll probably buy a newer one next year. I've heard too much crap about the belt tensioner going out around 100,000 miles on the 2000 P71's..

  • welll i got someborla mufflers i was thinkin of puttin on they came off my dads old mustang yeah i heard that t o thats why i didnt want one of the older ones ill still with my newer one

  • just replace it. not that big of a deal

  • @dodge69874 i have a 98' CVPI and it has 145,000 miles and is still running like a champ. Even know (this week) i'm upgrading it's exhaust. I say run yours into the ground then get another, because who knows, maybe it will last you another 100.

  • @dodge69874 Don't count on it. Cars today aren't like they were decades ago. You can find a 95 Impala SS going for 17k even now because it's a classic. But cars in production now won't be worth half of that 3 years after you get it. I'd have to say the Crown Victoria falls into that category. It's a great car, but cars just aren't what they used to be.

  • The way things are going, I think it would be worth a good amount in 50 years. If I kept it cherry. It's like one of the last true American sedans.

  • @snakesonaplane2 A car being underpowered for its weight means its slow.

I love crown vics though. A blower and 3.73 gears really make them move!

  • @FiredUpZ28 yeah i said what i was thinking wrong, i meant that it's got potential, it may be slow from the factory but like the Mustang it has tons of mods available to make it fast, i like to see what i can do to a motor to make it fast without forced induction or spray

  • @snakesonaplane2 hells yeah has almost the same potential as a stang with just a little more baggage

  • @snakesonaplane2 Some information that everyone needed to hear. It sounds so NASTY!!!!! I want one. haha

  • @snakesonaplane2 I agree they should have put something Like a 396 in the Crown Vics a P71 only has 253 horsepower a 4.6 Liter is not nearly the horsepower they could have put in them shit a Corvette can out Run a crown vic i'll order a new one with a Ls2 motor hell yeah now that's a motor!

  • @snakesonaplane2 your a dumbass haha.

  • @longeyebrows says the troll who makes ignorant comments when he obviousl-y has no clue what he's talking about, throw out one legit reason the Crown Vic is a piece of shit, and don't say some stupid shit like "it's a Ford" or something else of that mentality

  • Departments use them because they are durable, not fast. I bet if you floor it from a stand still, it won't even break the tires loose.

  • That reminds me .... I was watching an old ep. of cops , and there was a 91 or 92 Caprice on there , cop stood on it and boiled down the tires .... Good ole TBI 350 , lot's of torque , those cars were good for 133 mph with a slick top . Newer Crown vics are good cars though

  • i have a 99 crown vic retired police car and it lays rediculous rubber.

  • Totally gutless. That's why nearly every police department in the U.S. uses them to great success in high speed pursuits. No balls at all.

  • have super 44s on my vic, no cats and a set of 4.10s in the rear. if you have no cats or even the rear 2 deleted it will be very deep, loud and drone or " tone " when on the highway at about 2400 rpm or so. but they sound great when at about 3000 rpm and just purr.

  • how does the car cabin sound does it get annoying

  • It doesn't get annoying, people call it drone, i call it tone.

  • @P71intercept0r people who love their cars can deal with the sound. My dad has an 09 sti with loud pipes and we drove all the way to cali and it didnt bother us a bit

  • @morenogirl09 i did an x-pipe with no cats to super 44's and cab noise isnt an issue, you can hear it, but its not like OMG

  • definitely want to get exhausts for my vic, any suggestions

  • depends on the year and where you live. im in socal and its illegal for them to remove the cats. that's a good start. flowmaster mufflers sound nice on the vic as well and you cant go wrong with a cat back - but your stock pipes are 2" so you want to pipe it with anything larger than that. 2 1/4 is actually a noticeable difference. isn't too cheap though

  • thanks, i live in new jersey and have a 2004 crown victoria LX with dual exhausts. i'm probably going to get flowmaster 2.25, but i don't know if i should get the standard 40, super 40, or the delta flow or super 44. a lot of choices :)

  • The 44's are loudest (supposedly) and unless you take out 2 of the cats, you won't get much sound.

But still, I get some sound out of mine but it isn't like a Z28 Camaro or even a Mustang, just a little bit of sound. It's actually nice to have the cats on mine because I have no drone at all (and I mean NONE) on the highway with the Super 44's on the stock exhaust.

  • if he want better sound quality he should go with 2.50" straight pipes take off all the stock cats and replace them with only 2 magnaflow high performance cats and he would diffenitely get that deep tone out of those 44's

  • yeah k-mart lol

  • God Damn!!! :O

  • Just went to buy the 44's for my vic. Holy shit its amazing!

  • that thing has some get up and go under the hood to. i got a super 44 on a oldsmobile cutlass to. love it

  • NICE !!!

  • man that thing goes

  • what a sweet sound brotha very nice

  • thanks

  • very nice. so did you leave everything stock but the mufflers. because thats what i'm thinking of doing with my car

  • yes everything else is stock.

  • yo do u think some of diz super 44's wouls sound loud on my 96 lincoln town car

  • @ slpreyes: I think so. Maybe it would be even a bit louder with Flowmaster 40 series. And if it's still too quite in you ears, put some headers. What engine do you have in your town car?

  • I second that...Super 44's are a little quieter than flowmaster 40. :-/ (I have 44's)

  • It depends on which of the 3 40 options you purchase.

  • man, you must had just got a tune-up lol

  • im about to order them for my 2003 true dual. Do you remember if they r center in and center out or are they offset and do you remember the size??i am going to look tomarrow but if you knew it would save me from doing so..thanks

  • two mufflers?

  • yep, it has true dual exhaust.

  • Hey, I just put Super 44's on my PI and was wondering how you got the sound out of it because I heard that if you keep everything else stock, the quad cats would kill it....any secrets?

  • nope the exhaust is all stock accept for the mufflers.

  • Nah, all it needed was broken in. Got some sound out of it, although it seems like the best thing to do to get the sound is give about 30% throttle. Putting it to the floor amazingly kills the sound. I don't know if this happens to you but it seems like moderate throttle gets the best resonance.

  • sounds cool
