I am so happy John McCain picked Governor Palin as his running mate. She is the most intelligent, honorable and ethical politician to come along in decades. I hope she will run again on a national ticket so we can vote for her again. Governor Sarah Palin 2012 !!!

happy, I totally agree.People R missing alot of good re Gov. Palin. Lets face it she was easy pickins, she is not fake like the Obamas, could put on airs of the elite, BUT she chooses to speak plainly and she is 100% herself, real and honest. They wont even acknowledge her exec experience & the TREMENDOUS things she has done for Alaska and its people. 87% approval by her peopl,highest in history! Came from poor fam. pd for her own ed, with NO aff/action.Self made woman. No unsavory associations!

Logic really seems to be the problem here. I did not say that 68% approval wasn't good. I said it was far from the 87% you mentioned. Why would it eat me up that her approval rating plummeted by close to 20 points in a month? It doesn't even surprise me.
Don't get me wrong: I think that 68% approval for Palin by Alaskans is pretty good - almost as good as that 70% approval rating that Obama has from the whole country.

Palin had taxpayers pay for her children's travel to events to which they were not invited,rather than pay for their airfare herself.She had oil companies give the State a share of their profits,redistributed that wealth to Alaskans,then went around the country calling Obama a socialist.Todd Palin was part of a group that wants AK to no longer be part of the US,but she calls her opponent an "America hater".If this is what Conservatives call "honor" then they should be ashamed of themselves.

U know as well how they made those polls come out that way. In the last 2 wks. Newsweek, Time, the Wash/post, & others have come looking for absolution for what they did during the primary & election. The point is if YOU are happy & secure with BHO then great. But in all the elections I have worked on & wittnessed over a few decades now, NEVER have I seen the so called winners so desperate to get everyone to agree with thier choice. I dont wish him evil, It's my country too and I, like most Americans just want things to be ok, But you cant FORCE people to deny what thier nose tells them. Who said 80%? I cited the 70% approval rating that Obama has as of 11/25 per Gallup. There is no way it can stay that high-I would be really shocked to see it get any higher.80% should be out the question.
Right now most Americans think he'll be a good President(maybe cuz GWB set the bar so low). I hope his approval rating goes down soon,or the Dems in Congress will provide as little oversight to him as the Reps provided to Bush.We had enough with King George - we don't need a King Obama.

If you can listen to her answer economic questions, and still think she would have been good, then you just don't understand the economy either, because even her own party was embarrassed by her econ knowledge. By the way, it was the Republican congress that passed the deregulation bills on the mortgage industry, which is exactly what allowed greed and stupidity to hit Freddie and Fannie.

Realclearpoliticscom has Obama up by 8.5% in Pennsylvania, by 5.6% in Ohio,&by 4.5% in FL. There is also very little margin for error even if McCain sweeps all of those states. Obama is coming on strong in Georgia, still has a small lead in NC &is building his cushion on North Dakota. Missouri and Indiana are tossups. In short, there are multiple ways Obama can go over 270,&much fewer for McCain. This is why statistics wonder Nate Silver puts Obama's chances of winning on Tuesday at 97.2%.
