Nice vid. To answer some of the questions posted, if i may. Willow is normally used to power centeral heating boilers and not for bio mass, round here anyway. 2 year cycle from cut to cut. No ploughing needed there is a special like mole plough type yoke for that. Alot of men up our way inject sewage sludge into the crop as they get pay'd to draw it away and it doesent end up in the food chain. Very low input for a fair payback!
I too would like some background on this operation if you have time - especially regarding the use of the chippings. im assuming its going as a dry biomass? - is this a three or four year coppice? Would love some close up video of the header, even if its just a walk around. Excellent video. Good tack. thanks for posting!
Thanks John - very different! But questions - Do they dry it before delivery to power station, does it naturally regenerate? Do they have to plough the land and if so, how? Sorry - you don't have to answer these!!
