I am learning to play the Dobro and this is just the style I would like to play. I can really appreciate his easy way of playing. I am grateful for his presentation.
best open tuning (in my opinion) is either open E (or D if you prefer less tense strings) or open G as a crossnote. (open G crossnote would be DGAGBD) if i'm wrong someone tell me, i just tune by ear so i'm not 100% on the notes.
yes its a great instrument . I cant play that well so I cantbring out all the beautiful tones . wish you could see it in person craftsmanship and woods are so beautiful. also Ralph is SUPER GUY .if you are wanting a resonator guitar .HES THE MAN TO SEE.

traditionally, the tuning is GBDGBD, low to high. Yes, two octaves.
