Now I know where the Lady Catherine character came from. Apparently some young aristocrat made some advances to Jane Austen and she blew him off. He asked her to dance a couple of times and tried to kiss her. I think it's in one of her letters. Jane Austen may never have had sex, but she kissed a lot of guys. :-)
