Alright guys, since most of you are keyboard warriors and have no clue about guns or had a hands on experience with them, a 12gauge slug is thicker than a .50 caliber bullet. When shot form a shotgun, it is pretty accurate and powerful, of course in BC2, they kinda of over did it with the range. But people should stop complaining about it and pretend they are snipers..lol...plus, it is a great way to troll people from 400 yards away :D

BFBC 2 in not MW 2, they are building on realistic gameplay. And shoutguns are powerfull and can take out a target in one shoot even at longer distances remember, just hitting a target means he is unable 2 fight. Though that shoot was trully unreal.

What everyone needs to realize is that battlefield is pretty realistic. Just because in call of duty you cant get a shotgun kill when there more then 10 ft away doesn't mean buck shot is useless. Realistically its probably about 50 yards, when slugs can go 100+ so don't complain about shotguns being overpowered in this game because they are correct.

@ClayBusterAmx21 You are exactly right. 12 gauge 2 3/4 00 buckshot can go up to 50 yards. 12 gauge 2 3/4 1oz. slug has a effective range up too 100 yards, it won't be as accurate as a rifle but it has plenty enough stopping power. Let me remind you all that these rounds (slug and buckshot) were designed to kill deer, which are a lot bigger and stronger than humans. Shotguns in video games are way UNDERpowered. Also, anyone and their mother can pump a shotgun faster than what is shown here.

(i know, it sucks) It is illegal to hunt deer with a rifle, because of how far the bullets can travel. (thats what they say) Still why would you not kill a deer with a shotgun? Shotguns are VERY capable of successfully huntin deer however in close range. 150 yrds max I dont see the point of going out a further range anyway because it just turns into target prac.

I disagree with you and them.

The weapon is only as good as its user. A SV98 in the hands of Sgt.enigma or a shotgun in the hand of a reloadcanceler is extremely effective, but give an experienced player who knows what he is doing (which seems to be rare) an MG36, and they will kill sniper from hundereds of meters away. Trust me, I speak of experience. Weapon is only as good as the player who handles it.
