The ACS has declined a $500,000 donation from "Foundation Beyond Belief". Although they say that it is not out of discrimination, the end result speaks for itself, and it is clearly for theologically bigoted reasons. Cancer victims and survivors have become a commodity to the ACS!

Perhaps the Cancer Society ought to give some of the $1.5 billion in their interest earning savings account to a sick person. I'm giving to charities that help poor sick people, not to the lobby group ACS.

@smartinist ACS Has great programs! Have you volunteered at one of the Hope Lodges lately? Or coordinated an "I Can Cope" Program? The Hope Lodges do help the "poor sick people" you speak of. They provide free, temporary housing to outpatients of cancer. And by the way, we cancer survivors hate the term "poor sick people". ACS was the first cancer organization bring cancer out of the darkness. Before ACS, cancer patients weren't even allowed to go the hospital, they went home to die!
