With the little ones you can't tell that they are computer generated but the mom looks a little bit faked. So it's all just animation.

There's a featurette about the making of it on the DVD, not sure if you can find it online and they got wildlife documentary footage of lions and they trained them (very well trained clearly) and then edited the faces on the computer to make them look like they were talking with the actors, I love it! :) More movies should be made like this
