  • Lucky boys. I was in a similar situation when my friends chain snapped. It wrapped around the back wheel and locked it up just as we passed a lorry. All ended OK just a dry cleaning bill for his leathers after the biggest tank slapper known to man!

  • That would have scared the shit out of me.

  • Jeez, that could have been hideous for the guy behind!

  • look how close that link cam to smacking you in the head!! :o

  • They were both lucky right there. Ive seen a chain break on an RC at full tilt and tear the guys ham open. It was harsh

  • wow..I don't get the 15 dislikes..thanks for posting.

  • The max time to change out to new Quality Components should be within 1/12 Hr or so. Having the tools & knowing how is the biggest need. Looks the parts up online, That way you have an idea of the cost involved. You could buy the parts yourself & come out spending way less. The dealers & shops always mark the parts up like 100% at times, More or less. That's what I would do, but I would do it myself, and save the labor charges. You should not pay for work you did not ask to be done.

  • thats what u get when u dont love ur bike.

  • holy shit that was scary

  • lets all learn from this that could of been a whole different story

  • This is Holland, not Germany

  • dude,if that chain was 5-8 inches nearer it would've been really ugly at that speed...damn..

  • just phone a friend to bring the truck or trailer. Get a new chain tomorrow!

  • now that was scary ! I even ducked at 3 seconds

  • cant believe how lucky u were to not get hit by the number plate lol

  • wow fuck man that was close, chain in the face would be a little bit painful oooooh

  • i saw the chain bliffly after 1.5 seconds.

i lucky to not have a sprained arm.

  • wow thats incredible

  • Holy shit! The guy behind him can be lucky the chain didn't fly up higher and hit him in the head.

  • @rboeyen even more lucky for the rider that his chain didn't get jammed in the wheel to cause his back tire to lock up :P that would suck

  • Comment removed

  • The bike in front of the camera bike lost his chain but he didnt get it at first. He shifted in reflex

  • Why would he have to down shift? His engine isn't connected to anything, it is like his bike is in neutral.

  • dont know but I myself would do that to make sure my bike would be pushable which is pretty hard in a 5th gear for instance. Besides he didnt know what happen, could have been a tyre.

  • Also he could have wanted to figure out if he still had some form of power/torque to keep going or not.

  • @beastyfourpointsix I always wonder what people said after they removed their comment...especially if it's been replied to...

  • Hard to see unless you watch in high quality.

  • now that was a close call.that woulda scared the shit out of me.a little maintenance goes a LONG way haha I bet he knows that now

  • almost makes ya wann go out and lube her just incase, fello videoing it had lucky escape!

  • It happens in 0:02 Looks like first chain falls out and then number plate.

I'm sure that rider learned his lesson what happens if he doesnt lube the chain. Too tight chain will overheat and begins to "burn", also too tight chain will make drive axle and rear axle bearings to wear faster.

  • Yup the rubbers between the plates burn out and the plates rub together causing wearing and tearing eventually leading to a break

  • i don't get it....

  • When the front bike goes into the tunnel his chain snaps of and removes his yellow number plate. It barely misses the camera bike, near decapitation , and all that
