I found it amazing how rock music ignored the two wars that have gone on the past 10 years. One of the reasons, rock has suffered over that same time period is rock stopped reflecting the times and people accepted meaningless fluff. I can really only think of Green Day and Eddie Vedder recording any politically themed rock in the last 10 years.
