Sookie is the most unlikable character ever written.

The acting sucks outside of Lafayette.

The story is rather bland, and for the most part rather predictable.

The show is for chicks.

thanks for the quick response and at least you're honest.for my own part, i like Sookie in the book and i think Anna Paquin does a pretty good job with her. i dont think the acting sucks at all, i think it is a good ensemble piece. though its no DEADWOOD or BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. okay, bland and predictable story. hmmmm. the story is one we've seen before, in many variations. predictable? no more than BUFFY and a lot less then VAMPIRE DIARIES. as for the last?.....

I disagree. I rented it from the video store I work at, and the first couple episodes were a bit mixed with me. I didn't know if I'd like it. There were good and meh things. By the fourth episode or so I began to give a damn about the characters and story. Now I really like it. It is NOT a chick show. It's what Twilight should be.

Lafayette is one of my favorites though. Cracks me up.
