well i had a book... and i used it to learn the chords. but as soon as i had mastered the main ones i started playing songs i actually wanted to play - getting the tabs online mainly. it's tough when you first start and yeah it can be boring, but the main thing is not to get ahead of yourself. don't move onto anything advanced until you've got the basics :) have fun and practice lots! :D xx a
