@theremoteman A double contact is allowed if it is in the same fluid attempt at the ball.. i.e passing the ball overhand and it slips through and hits your head, the down ref must have seen it as two seperate attempts at the ball. But yes Karch must have thought they called a lift. Doris contacted it with her arms below the plain of the net (not counted as a block) and then tries to pop the ball up with a fist... double.
Karch Kiraly isn't correct on the call against Doris. Doris wasn't called for a lift. She was called for a double contact. If you look at 1:20 when the play begins, it shows the ball hits her in the chest, then she tries to bring it back up with her hand, 2 hits.
YES A DOUBLE CONTACT IS LEGAL ON THE FIRST BALL SO CAN YOU REALLY BLAME HIM?

@CrazyKewlx3 i think texas coach was mad, because a double contact is legal on the first ball. Which doris did. and it hit her forearm not her hand.
