well done man, you did really well making this video, and it fit good with the meaning behind the catcher in the rye. I wish i could make vids like this, it's amazing O.o. for all of you that don't understand the meaning, keep in mind, the song's lyrics hold meaning behind the book, catcher in the rye. From what I gathered, the kid in this video was depressed, perhaps suicidally? Eventually, after walking around, he found the carnival where he remembered his father who is now dead, am i close?

Anybody who who has read up about Axl knows he was a huge fan of the novel by J.D. Salinger, although there may be a small percentage of the song dedicated towards John Lennon death, the song is in most part towards Axl's feelings and interpretations towards the novel itself. A nice video but has nothing to tell about the lyrics. the catcher in the rye was the book that Michael David Chapman was reading at the time he shot John Lennon, so this song is about John Lennons murder, and the video does not fit the title.

You know Dynamic Range is starting to be taken seriously again on multiple levels when even Axl Rose even chooses the most dynamic master that was presented to him. This is a good song as is, and I hardly care for Guns and Roses. But the Dynamic Range adds to the enjoyment for sure.

Its a great song. But I really...doubt that its an official video for the band. Because lets think for a moment... the label wouldn't shoot videos even when Best Buy begged for them. The only singles released were "Chinese Democracy" and "Street of Dreams" and one had a video shot but never released. And Guns toured in 2009/2010 , so ..did anyone see this video play behind them when they;d perform Catcher in the Rye live ? Its a great video...I honestly love it. Your brother did a great job .

This is a perfect video. It reminds me of last summer I took the Metro Link all the way to North Hollywood to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs play at the Greek. It was a night that I'll never forget. I wore my beanie and Use Your Illusion Gn'R shirt. I met a bunch of cool punk rockers on the Metro and I wandered the Strip at 2am. And Catcher in the Rye is my favorite song in the Entire World.
