Rumor has it the "Proud[Something Asian]"'s are the same person. Trolls...
It's hard to take her/him seriously when his/her argumentation skills are almost non existant. I'm minoring in English at college and the first thing college teaches new students is good argument skills. ProudToBeAsian refuses to respond to counter argument videos and uses fallacies (i.e. Ad Hominem) to defend herself/himself.
I do fully agree not all Asians are like ProudToBeAsain. In my experience, most Asians are not.
It's kind of a war against: ProudToBeAsian and ProudToBeWestern 'n stuff...
ProudToBeAsian and more youtubers started uploading racist videos where they consulted Western People and just put bad cosplayers as example in it, and said every Western Cosplayer were like that.
Don't make the same mistakes as some ProudToBeAsian did, Don't think every Asian person is the same!!
Some are very nice... but some (like ProudToBeAsian are the most arrogant b*tches ever...) Because she thinks there is no good Western Cosplayer... we shouldn't make the same mistake as her, let the Westerns and other people be the clever ones!! ;D
cosplay is for everyone. hating each other is going to make it worse. in my city....i'm one of the few asians who goes to an event full of western cosplayers and i don't care how they look like in their outfits. i compliment them on their cosplay because we all worked hard on it. however, i do get annoyed when girls show up half clothed or with a piece of white wrap covering their chest and pelvis area and call it cosplay....if we want half naked people.....we go to a strip club.
Did everyone forget that cosplaying originated in America? And that anime was inspired by Walt Disney's creations? Also that not all anime takes place in Japan? It doesn't matter if your not Asian, you can be any race and cosplay. And its not racist to cosplay if your not Asian. Look how beautiful all of these people are in their cosplay and they aren't Asian. I think this whole "cosplaying war" needs to stop! All of you "ProudtobeAsian" Accounts need to stop with this childish nonsense.
Also, people complain of "over-weight" cosplayers.
The Japanese traditional diet is Sushi, correct? Their food is very healthy over there and fish, correctly, is brain-food, hence why Asians tend to be so "Smart".

Both races are just as good in everything! And what about Middle Easterns? They are part of Asia (some of the countries) but are still considered Caucausian! And there are many other races than just these two! All races are just as good! Thank you for the inspiration for my video!
Cosplaying is just for the fun of it :) Why can't you all just see that, I've seen many Western, Asian, German, Russian, black, white, etc. cosplayers who look wonderful, and some who look horrible, all in all its for the fun of it. Some people work really hard on there cosplay, others do not :P Just say theres bad and good, leave Race out of it ^^

Hmmm......... it seems that we are all - even the tiniest minute smidge - biased on our opinions. I admit, I'm Asian and even though I consider my self as open minded as the next guy, I sometimes feel superior to other races. I'm guessing this is normal though........

And now, on subject: There is also ASIAN cosplay fail, as there are incredibly great Western cosplayers. It's all cosplay, there is greatness, and there is fail -- race doesn't matter.
"Proud Asian" is in a *distinct* minority -- one that talks loud and says nothing. Kind of like Fred Phelps.
"ProudAsian" is full of crap. IN one video, he states that all anime characters are Asian characters.
Tell that to 95% of the cast of Victorian Romance Emma, Shirley Madison, Urd, Belldandy, and Skuld, and a good chunk of the cast of G Gundam, to start.
I would have posted as a comment in the relevant "ProudAsian" video, but he decided to be a coward and block me. What a coward.

i dont really know why you bother, hes not really from indonesia hes here in the U.S he was banned from otakucon because he harassed the grils there when they wouldnt let him touch them. Hes just a hypocrite, it doesnt matter what he says thats not going to stop us from cosplaying! Shit i will do it even if its illegal!

many people forget to put into account that most asian cosplayers that they see are professionals... with professorial photographers, and they Photoshop the heck outta their pictures. The western ones are just a quick snap and shoot, they have less resources, and cosplaying is not a big deal in America... it's actually very much frowned upon.
@dulceme3 Cosplay is not "frowned upon" in the states if it's done well. People admire effort and beauty and not silly people walking around in bad costumes and makeup. There is good cosplay Western and Eastern and I won't generalize either, people should decide if they go out in public and how they dress and live with the consequences of that. A picture of video can make someone an instant hit or laughing stock.
