What's the tune they're playing at 2:43? I've got it on my computer, but don't have the title and would really like to find a lead sheet or something for it. Cheers
Nathan is very VERY good.....But there are a whole bunch of other bass players out there that would "Question" the "Un-questioned Master" I don't blame Nathan for the commercial I blame Yamaha!!
@reesetee1: "Nathan is very VERY good.....But there are a whole bunch of other bass players out there that would "Question" the "Un-questioned Master" I don't blame Nathan for the commercial I blame Yamaha!!" That was Phil Collins co-signing for him..Who are you fool?
Nathan East has become my favorite bass player. So much class. He has that unique skill of being able to make every song he plays sound so much better.
Many people think that Nathan is nowhere near the best but to tell you the truth, the best bassists are not exactly the best musicians. You can be a technical genius but if you cannot perform your role in the band, you're better off posting videos in YouTube to applauding beginners than jamming and recording with the highest paid and busiest people in the music industry. Nathan East is more than just flashy and showy bassist, he's one of the best MUSICIANS.
every young bass player considers a virtuos performance as the best. NAthan has much more. He knows how to get into the music, he is descreet bu intence and creative. That's the key. Long solos, flashing and speed technics is great, but the go is to penetrate the song with the bass lines without compromise the other instruments. nathan is the best in that.
He is one of the best bass players (as I define it actually) and a very nice guy...He's not the best but he closes a wide gap in bass history and music generally...
Whoah! he's extremly near the best if not the best, he is the bussyest bassist in the united states I belive, Who would class as the best Bass player?
I dunno, for moves probably victor wooten, but for me Jaco Pastorius comes pretty high up, nathan is up there though, i bought this DVD and it makes points in which nobody else would think
well, I'm normally not one to take part in these "best" polls, 'cause it's really a matter of best *for what?* I wouldn't want him in tribal tech instead of gary willis, and I wouldn't want him with monty alexander instead of ray brown or eddie gomez! it wouldn't be the same! still, as far as all-purpose bassists go, he's a friggin' hero! daryl jones & anthony jackson are also great at that, and plenty busy...
i wouldnt say hes the master

took me a while to realize that obvious truth. I would always play fast and technical. but got more of a response when i wrote an actual song
