Thank you streetfightsecrets for informing the public about the reality of combat. I've been working for over 15 years teaching self-defense to people. I teach how to use the headbutt as a very powerful tool for stopping an attack in close-range. Not many people know this but Bruce Lee himself used the headbutt often during his fights in the street (I teach Jeet Kune Do and Filipino Kali). He was fond of using elbows, knees and headbutt combinations.

Persons who are trained to fight, rarely do so outside of a sanctioned fight. The media always takes it out on any martial arts and then the next story would be how obese(insert nation) is. exactly. but i think you have to recognize the context. there's martial artists that get into fights & end up in jail for it. there's martial artists that shoot burglars & go on trial for attempted murder without any regard for the make my day law. you're right, the media will do most anything to make a story. but i think it's a can't-win being in shape & prepared gets penalized OR a unprepared victim gets subjugated. i'll take the former & take my chances
