  • damn those JYUUS!!!! lol jyuus=jews

  • what about ten ten ten ten ten ten ten ten ten ten?

  • hahahaa u 4 got the 0

  • NANA NANA NANA NANA NANA NANA!

  • no way to cheat just repeat

  • They don't normally use "shi" for the number "four" because the word for "death" is also "shi"

  • My Oh My !! Thank God for Youtube because if i had private lessons with her i would'nt learn a single word !!! she is beautiful

  • nice :D but weere is the 0 ??

  • @nunoslbbcb11 I dont think they need a "0" because the 10 already takes care of that. If you wanted to say 30 you would put it like 3 tens- "Sanjyu" or 40 you would say Yonjyu

  • THIS HELPED ME SO MUCH!

  • jew!

  • The reason they have problems with saying their 4 and 7 is because it has the word "death" in it, basically. It's kinda asking for trouble, as they see it, I believe. lol.

  • Japanese don't need zero for counting 1 - 10, juu means 10 so nijuu is twenty e.t.c.

  • ~gomen, how do you say the number 0 (zero) in japanese? please answer arigato!

  • you can also use Rei but most people just say zero

  • what's zero? lol

  • I learn japanese at school and when i learnt the numbers after a few minutes i was able to say the numbers really fast up to 10 you might think why i am watching this when i know the numbers but it's on playlist and this came up and i realised oh i know how to say the numbers in japanese. The person on this video is really good and she explains well which is great.Well done

  • Sorosoro terebi kaikaeta hou ga ii kana.

    Hehe. I love Japanese!

  • Zero is pronounced like [Zeh-ro] is what I've seen.

  • Zero in japanese is just Zero said a little faster

  • Ichi, Ni, San, Shi, Go, Roku, Nana, Hachi, Kyu, Jyu! Jappy ! xD

    一 二三四五 六 七八九十

    This good? ^^

  • i dont have any zeros in my number so it helped(: thank you (: it helped m,e with pronounciation.

  • couldnt complete number game cause there is no zero XD good video

great vid, really helped me :)

  • Great video! I just cant tell my phone number because I dont know how is ZERO :D

  • this is the first time i knew that seven is also spelled nana i allways heard it as shichi!

  • StaticID:

    sentence structure is totally different:

sokoni ki ga go hon arimasu.

    sokoni= there

    ki=tree

ga=partticle to indicate what you are talking about

    go= 5

hon=suffix to indicate quantity of large things

    arimasu= ''are''

BARBIEDANCER1323: zero is also pronounced zero

  • 10 = jyu = jew lol

  • Wheres Zero?

  • shi is yon after ten

    shichi is nana after ten

i think right???? really not sure just more of a question.

  • Can some one help! These numbers just don't make any sense!! I can Count with them, but when saying how many things there are, for example "there are 5 trees", I just can't do it.

"GO" is 5 but when saying how many what goes here "GO______" ???

There doesn't seem to be any logical rules for this, like for example "nin" at the end for food. can anyone explain how this works?? Because its driving me crazy

  • There no zero. :( I couldn't complete the number game. T.T

  • rei

  • and zero?

  • Zero is zero lol. Its pronounced zeh-ro in Japanese.

Zero can also be Rei which is pronounced Reh-ee.

  • thanks :)

  • Good point. lol

  • ur good! :)

  • my phone number is gogogogogogogogogogo

  • not that anyone would wanna kno anyway XD

  • where is p00r 0ld zer0?

  • what's japanese for 0 -zero?

  • rei, or zero (with the the accent on the ze)

  • just wondering.

If its more than 10 is the ju in the beginning or after the number?

    Ju or Jyuu?

    Ichiju or ju ichi

    confused @_@

  • ju ichi 11

21 would be ni ju ichi

    100 hyaku

    101 hyaku ichi

    111 hyaku ju ichi

    121 hyaku ni ju ichi

  • does "hyaku" also mean hurry?

  • rofl, cute xD

no, hyaku 100 u say "hya" fast, one syllable

in hayaku which means hurry, u sound it out like ha-ya-ku

  • it would technically be hayaku. but pretty much yea

  • shit japanese language seems so fucking hard to learn damnnnnnnnn!

  • well, its a language.

  • lol, thats mean :p

  • sorry, didn't mean to sounds mean..

  • I believe "Zero" in Japanese is Rei. But Zero is most commonly used.

  • I just looked it up from an internet multilingual dictionary and it says zero is "ゼロ" those of you who can read the kanji alphabet could read it, but unfortunetly i dont know the pronaunciation either.

  • well i cant say my phone number without zero sweetie. Luckily I know zero in japanese is actually zero anyway so thats all good ^^

  • there is a word for zero but most japanese use zero, too.

the e sounds like the e in yeah. not like the normal e in zero.

  • i need 0 4 for my # cause its 5555555550

  • how do you say zero in japanese?

  • its just sero or zero ;p

  • gawd i feel like im in preschool again <:3

  • wat is zero i have a zero in my number

  • fengshuifighter whats is malu!! lol japanese alphabet has no L thats why japanese getting a hard time learning english nihonjin wa eigo wakaranai!!! fengshuifighter honto ni nihongo wakaru ka umae!!! bakero!! nani shaberu dana!!! hanasanai de omae wa nihon itta koto nai da kara!!! itta ka kunero?

  • i think i'm in love.............again.

  • You never use "malu" when counting you big Baka. Malu means circle. How often would you say, "3-2-1- circle? Nice try but your Japanese must be unchi.

  • its maru not malu lol andit can mean - zero, perfection, circle or pure

  • oh btw isnt Ichigo a name of a character in Bleach so that means hes like the 15th?

  • actually it means strawberry... I have a couple friends from japan and they told me that's what means and so far no one has disagreed with that

  • Ichigo is Strawberry lol he is Strawberry Man!

  • do you know the strawberry man? the strawberry man? the strawberry man? do you know the strawberry man who lives in karakura?

  • no it would not be ichigo that is like saying 1 5 when it is actually jyugo when ever you pronounce a number in the teens you always use jyu and the number

  • lol i hate my nationality i wish i was japanese even tho im chinese

  • I'm between 1% and 5% japanese, which is strange because I'm toatally white and I don't even look like it! but chinese is a cool one too, just try to find the pros about it and not focus on the cons too much.

  • chinese is really cool too ^^

  • Bit confused with Ichi, does the ee trail off before it begins or is it silent? Sounds like someone saying itch! Maybe it's habit on my part and i'm making the ee sound like hy, somehow.

  • it's like when you get fluent with a language you cut thins off or speak it sorta lazily. like in english when people say "gonna" instead of "going to".

but it technically is pronounced ee-chee

  • how do you say 0?

  • zero

  • Then I hope someone let's her know she made a typo... or something lol >_>

  • Are you saying your book is better than a native speaker? A lot of books are written for OTHER languages but never written by native speakers of the said language nowadays : )

For all we know she's saying color instead of colour (love how firefox highlights colour in red.)

  • check it out yourself.

genki 1 an integrated course in elementary japanese.

my book was written by 4 japanese writers. Even our professor who is from japan told us to beware of books out there. by the time we got to lesson 3, we were able to distinguish the correct books from others.

  • zero is 0.

  • Yup, it's true. 0 = zero. It's pronounced zeh-roh.

  • oh like in spanish! i love this language.

  • its pronounced "Maru' also.

  • how would u say 0 tho cuz my number have 0 in it

  • what happend to 0

    idk how to say that?

  • It's Mu.

  • Nope.

It can be "zero"[PRONOUNCED 'ZEHH-ROH' ] or just "rei".

  • i lol'd when i first heard that xD

  • arigatou

  • Zero in Japanese is ゼロ(zero), but it can also be pronounced as れい (rei) but rei also means bow.

I learnt nine can also be pronounced as く(ku), like when telling the time (kujihandesu)

I also learnt when saying your phone number, you use a の (no) in the middle, like a hyphen -

BUT i might be wrong with this, i haven't been learning japanese for long!

    ありがとう!

  • um, just a question, but, what ever happened to hitotsu, futatsu and mittsu? cuz in one of the bleach endings, they're saying that and it's translated as one, two, and three. could you explain?

  • 一 (one) has 4 readings, ひとつ (hitotsu) being one of them.

二 (two) has 3 readings, ふたつ (futatsu) being one of them.

三 (three) has 4 readings, みっつ (mittsu) being one of them.

    The most common pronunciation is:

    一 イチ (ichi)

    二 ニ (ni)

    三 サン (san)

  • Comment removed

  • ichi, ni, san, etc are the numbers. But when you're counting people or objects the prounciation of the numbers change. You get different prounciations and suffixes for different contexts.

  • abd the zero???

  • ichi ni san yon go roku shichi hachi kyuu juu

  • kyu shichi san

    shichi roku shi
