Just though I'd point this out donno if anyone else has coz i havn't read the whole thread but the Which match do you look forward to most at SummerSlam poll on the WWE website has the DX vs. Legacy match at 39.65%, the Hardy vs. Punk TLC match at 42.71% and the Cena Orton match a measly 17.62%.
Just though that was pretty interesting since RAW is meant to be the main brand and only 17.62% are lookin forward to it's main event on the second biggest PPV of the year lol.

Summerslam seems very dissapointing this year I really am not bothered with the Cena Orton match but I think the TLC Hardy Punk match will be a good one. From what I heard, Cena vs Orton is NOT one of the 2 Main Events, the MEs are DX vs Legacy and Jeff vs Punk. And Jeff will have his last appearance next friday on Smackdown.
I hope this is the truth and Cena vs Orton match will not be a main event, because as spinnernet already pointed out, there's no real tension between them going into SummerSlam 2009.

Just though I'd point this out donno if anyone else has coz i havn't read the whole thread but the Which match do you look forward to most at SummerSlam poll on the WWE website has the DX vs. Legacy match at 39.65%, the Hardy vs. Punk TLC match at 42.71% and the Cena Orton match a measly 17.62%.
Just though that was pretty interesting since RAW is meant to be the main brand and only 17.62% are lookin forward to it's main event on the second biggest PPV of the year lol.

Chavo is truly one of the most underused wrestlers in the company. His last name should shine like a true champion. The idea that makes me sick is the fact he was an ECW champion. Summerslam seems very dissapointing this year I really am not bothered with the Cena Orton match but I think the TLC Hardy Punk match will be a good one. I think the best match of the night will be Dolph Ziggler and Rey Mystirio hopefully Ziggler will get the IC title because Ziggler was great in FCW back when he was under his real name of Nick Nemeth.

From what I heard, Cena vs Orton is NOT one of the 2 Main Events, the MEs are DX vs Legacy and Jeff vs Punk. And Jeff will have his last appearance next friday on Smackdown.

I agree on the Cena/Orton feud. The only feud they had that had a great build up was the 2007 feud. But this one is pathetic. I'm hoping the Hardy/Punk TLC match is THE main event. That has better build up but then again, they had matches for the last couple of weeks.

In my honest opinion, I'm glad that the Orton v Cena match hasnt had much of a build up
I am sick and tired of the WWE spending weeks hyping up a match, building a fued, developing characters, and then NOT FOLLOWING THROUGH when it comes to the match. Leaving everyody disappointed.
So perhaps, the fact that we dont expect anything at SS is a good thing. Perhaps if we expect it to be shit, it may just surprise us.

wwe has been building up their ppvs poorly for a while probably since 2006. But a better example this year is either wrestlemania or summerslam. also they tend to make their ppvs every 3 weeks

sweet shirt spinner! it was a good idea for spike to keep TNA around because the ratings keep going up and will pretty soon be passing smackdown. TNA has been getting mostly a 1.3 while smackdown usually gets a 1.7.

The last time they feuded, their was never a finish. Cena got injured. Returned and fought Orton and HHH, but we NEVER got the final closing 1vs1 match.

The only match that I am looking forward to is the Hardy/Punk match. I'd love to see a U.S. title defense at Summerslam. I'd much rather see that than Orton vs Cena. About Don West, I actually enjoyed him as a commentator. I believe that Taz will be much better than Don, though.

It has seemed to me that the writing for any feud over the last few years has been lack-luster. The only feud that I can think of that was done well was the HHH/Randy Orton feud leading up to WM25. Other than that the writers seem to have as many ideas as Hollywood screen-writers do nowadays.
