  • wow....

  • I think this is the best presentation of this on YouTube, by far. This is sublime.

  • I love number 5 ( 6:34 ). It's my favorite.

  • Yeah, shame that in 6 months only 600 people in the world have checked this out. Look up any Beethoven sonata, the number of hits will be about a zillion. Beethoven and Mozart are great, certainly among the greatest composers ever, but you need some diversity. Is Debussy as great as them? Maybe not, but does it really matter? I get a lot out of Debussy that I can't get from them. There is a lot of great music out there that wasn't written in Germany or Austria in the 18th and 19th centuries.

  • @handsomechuck1 This is a great way of expressing these feelings. I think anybody who listens to Debussy has the same feelings. One voice in me says "why didn't we study Debussy in music class?" I just like how your comment expressed this distaste in regional bias (with regard to music and the composers) without putting down the other composers who may have been given an unfair amount of attention.

  • I do not understand why nobody has commented, perhaps there are no words to describe the sublime melodies of Debussy played by Richter
