  • omg this is old but good stuff

  • Fuck . Me . thats awesome..

  • bon style ce presentateur

  • Now in 2010 I stilll see computers being sold with just DDR2 memory! GRRRR!!!!!!

    stupid

  • @inachu Cause everyones broke lol. I work at best buy and you will be surprised how unwilling people are to save just a little bit more to get a better computer. They want it asap and are also dissapointed asap. Everyone on here is smart I hope lol, but most people are not.

  • @inachu - DDR3 doesn't do anything better really. I've built many computers, with DDR2 and DDR3, and I haven't noticed anything. RAM speeds just help speeds between the RAM and the Storage device (e.g. HDD and/or SSD), therefore increasing load times, mainly in games. But 1-2 seconds doesn't make a difference to me. Game levels that last 30 mins still only take around 20 seconds to load off of a standard SATA HDD.

    I'm still on DDR2 (2X2GB 800MHz @ 4-4-4-12-3T) and I'm happy with it.

  • @AmH032uTuBe But DDR2 is slower and new high end CPU needs faster RAM so they can use they full potential. Plus with DDR3 you can build PC with now up to (correct if I'm wrong) 64GB of ram vs 8gb Max on DDR2. Another one is games. They need more and more RAM, for example Crysis I had it with 4 GB of Ram and hen I've upgraded to 8 GB(On the same speed and clocks) It ran faster

  • @Xardas955 The more RAM you use, the more DIMMs you are trying to squeeze into one channel.

Why do you think Gigabyte's UD7 and Assassin 2 X79 boards only have 4 DIMM slots rather than 8? Quad-channel, one channel per DIMM means full performance, rather than switching the bandwidth lanes for each DIMM.

I've upgraded my amount of RAM, Crysis didn't run faster [CPU and GPU only]. Unless it's to do with any possible (???) scaling that the CE2 does to read the current memory consumption/usage.

  • Nforce network drivers by nvidia suck. or at least they did back in 2008. Vista never installed correctly. Ffoward to today and Is ee no more issues with nforcechipsets.

But it was pure hell back then. GPU video companies should stick to graphics.

  • what do you mean that the corsair 1000 watt is the only psu that can support 3 way sli??? i got a hiper m1000 watt and it supports 3 way sli, crossfire, qaud sli, even hybrid sli and it costs much less money.

  • @badboycarlos thats cuz the clip is filmed back on July 17, 2008. World had changed.

  • i have an nvidea 8800gt card, and can play crysis and other demanding games on high resolution.

so i was wondering,, why would i need 3 of them?

  • Can your computer play GTA IV? I'm not to sure it can.

  • yes it can, and also runs perfectly

  • I would like to see a video of that? What cpu and how much RAM?

  • @isrsan coz there r some rich ass ppl out there that just wanna waste money.

  • @isrsan bte i totally agree i have a 9600 n it does everything so well

  • @isrsan High AA\AF Levels, and having every graphic setting on as high as possible. I have 1 9800GTX, and will soon upgrade to a second one to run Dual-SLi. Even in 2010, with the advent of DX11 cards, I am perfectly fine with my card. It preforms great for the price. I may also go Tri-SLi in the future (only can afford 2 cards for now lol).

  • adm?

  • i think he means amd , which means his fingers are only left with 3...

  • huray

  • silly question 3 graphics which one plugs into monitor ?

  • does anyone know if the ASUS P7P55D Pro motherboard supports tri-sli?

  • nope

  • Will SLI work if I have an AMD processor with a motherboard that supports dual graphic cards? Or will only CrossFire work with AMD processors?

  • well there are some sli boards but the newer ones will not there all ati lol so it kinda sux

  • MasterSighlis555 All depends on your motherboard, usually it is either crossfire or SLI some of the newer boards can support both.

this is as I understands it, someone correct me if I am wrong.

  • NOT NECESARLY THE DUAL GPU TECHNOLOGY DEPENDS ON THE MOBO :d

  • depends on the board it should say crossfireX or SLI

  • there are amd platforms that support Nvidia's SLI yes.

  • Lol. I love this guys videos! Keep it up Linus! Very helpful and informative guide.

  • my 780i is pci express 2.0. i dont know why he says X16. When its in 3 way sli maybe thats what hes referring to?

  • x16 is the bandwidth of the pci express 2.0 lane. Often cheaper boards can only do across three pci express 2.0 lanes, 16x, 8x, 8x. The only board that can do true tri-sli is the EVGA Classified, which has three lanes that are 16x, 16x, 16x. The lower the bandwidth of the lane, the less the effectiveness of sli/tri-sli.

  • Not entirely accurate. I went from GTX 280 SLi to GTX 280 3-way SLi, and I got a pretty nice boost in several games at 2560x1200.

  • im not that crazy to spend money for 3 graphics card.. and to buy a very hi voltage of power supply

  • how do these guys get all these pc parts???

  • the companys send it to them. It's a way of advertising.

  • Sick O.o Nuff' said.

  • ugly haircut...

    but nice review ;)

  • that power suplly looks reallyy heeeeavvyyy!

  • Pc and PS3(its Nvidia Graphics) FTW

  • pc is better though XD

  • if your prepared to pay double - triple the price

  • cool

  • TRI SLI is what enspired me to search for the quad sli mother board that nearly costed me $1,000 dollars. But I have found it and even though the MB was in a beta test the company that made it agreed to sell it to me. To see my progress so far check out my Videos. So far I have test 4X 9800GTX+ and 4X 9800GTX. For now these are the only two cards that I can maintain a stable system with. Please leave comments and ratings. Thank you

  • do sli compatable boards have to be made by nvidia?

  • please do a review for evga x58 and xfx x58 motherboards.

  • no on x58 mobos u have to have ddr3 tripple channnel ram.

  • I have a question. Does the Dual Channel kit 2GB (2 x 1GB) or 4GB (2 x 2GB)DDR3 Memory ram work for the x58 motheboard or all DDR3 Memory Ram work for x58 motherboards?

    Please Reply

  • HELL YEA im gonna get my 790i ultra soon :D

  • i'm surprised that this setup only require 1000W power supply, I thought it would need like a 1.2k watt at least

  • then u are stupid

  • hi man , i just wanna know if i screwed up here , i have bought striker extreme motherboard , inter core duo e8500 , geforce 9800gx2 1 gb vid memory , antec twelvehundred pc case and 4b corsair dominater memory , but the graffic card is ddr3 is that a good setup or do i have to buy something else to make it fit right or do the components respond good the eachother ?...

  • That system will work fine, but unless you're using a 64bit version of windows, then you wont be able to fully take advantage of 4gb of RAM.

  • uhm...yes

  • PC beats all console gaming

  • "Three gfx cards, High powered motherboard, high powered cpu, you need some serious power supply, ah muscle!" "that's not a good example of power supply muscle...." LOL XD

  • i think the real term whould bee geek

  • i have the 780 i becuse i dint want 2 buy new ram but im starting 2 think i fuckd up! :(

  • jim carry younger OMG, jajajajaja

  • wow that iis friggin insane i want a Mb like that

  • i'm just wondering, (no flaming pl0x), how do a nub connect his monitor to 3 graphics cards together (in this case)?

  • Well, when you SLI video cards, you can connect just 1 monitor but use the power of both. I am not sure if that answers your question.

  • id like it if he was....mmmmmmmmm tasty

  • lol nice

  • he talks like a freaking girl.

  • it looks like they recorded this on a phone

  • nice, bout time we got a vid lol

  • ...another 9800GTX. but how about the other two 9800s?? how do you cool them off?? their cooling fans will have no purpose at all since it is stacked on top of one another. no air will get in and out between them.

if that's the case then an overheated TRI-SLIed 9800GTXs will not maximize its performance.

  • they suck are in not through them out and ur front intake fan in ur case will bring air to them

  • I'm just wondering. how the hell do you cool down 9800GTXs TRI-SLIed?? a monster rig like this requires a lot of power and will definitely produce high heat. of course, each does have cooling fans and with a rig like this, you probably have a pretty good cooling system. but if you take a closer look,it is practically on top of one another. there's not enough space for the GPUs to ventilate or for at least some cool air to pass through, except for the bottom one(since it is not on top of another...

  • They also draw air in from the back and sides.. It won't be cool, but if you have good and organized ventilation in your case you will be fine. Most people will go water cooled if you are going to invest this much anyway.

  • my goooodness!! shila shilala shit!!

  • Gutes Video EVGA sing die Besten!!!

  • this is madness but i still can play everything on my 8800GT sli rig :D

  • i want ur job.

  • 680i supports trisli just its not PCIe 2.0

  • That's a 140mm fan on the Corsair PSU, not 120mm. ;)

  • Why Have you not included the new AMD 750/780A SLI motherboards which are capable of dual and tri SLI in this showcase?

  • *DROOL*

  • I just said the exact same thing to my counterpart on live messenger lol

  • NCIX is an online retailer. Check it out, ncix(dot) com.

  • Great video!

  • holy fuck. HUGE.

  • Agreed. ^^

  • Another great video :) I've got an XFX 780i myself - it's a pretty nice motherboard. I only went with it because I'm running two 9800 GX2's right now. Preferably, I would have went with the X48 motherboard though.

Just a quick question -- did you guys switch cameras? The other videos seem to be a bit higher in quality.

  • add &fmt=18 at the end of the URL. It makes it look ALOT better.
