  • Going over 200 km/h with ESP off, only one hand on the steering wheel while the other hand holds the camera. Bravo!

  • That's around 5.92 mpg for those of us in the UK...

    Awesome car, engine and chassis.

I have driven one of these and the immense satisfaction of beating boy racers at the lights in a diesel 4x4 never fades

  • If you continue accelerating, can it reach 280 km/h, as on the dashboard? VW's website says its max speed is 242km/h, but it seems more to go.

  • Pure shit.

  • lahme Kiste:D

  • mmmmm..... nice sound

  • I have X6M 2010 chip to 605 ps wanna race?

  • I also used Dinolicious to messure my acceleration times of my BMW X6 xDrive40d stock (306 PS/600Nm). Best times were:

    0-100 in 5.94 sec

    0-160 in 13.14 sec

    1/4 mile in 13.99 sec 167.3 km/h

Does Dinolicious really use GPS to messure the acceration times?

Normaly the touareg V8 TDI sould be faster!?

  • Are you going to remap the ECU when the car is still on warranty? Won't you loose the warranty then?

  • @B738pilot Yes, I always do because I rarely keep cars for more than 1-2 years. The Touareg SADLY is already sold, not because I wanted to... but someone else. So no more videos from me :-( I'll buy a new car in a few years time. Probably gonna boy a more sports specific car, such as the R8, but probably the V8 version if so. Already driven the V10, but it didn't impress. Maybe the new RS3 will be an option as well due to its spectacular motor, the new 2.5L tfsi that is easily tuned to 400+ hp.

  • Hey. When are you remapping this beast? :) I wanna see how that goes after that.. Im waiting for the video :)

  • 40l/100km ?! lol sure diesels are only economical when your granny is driving

  • @jonmogo1

  • @jonmogo1 Are you dumb? Its current consumption, not average. Of course it consumes a lot when its accelerating under full throttle. And yes, diesels ARE economical, even when you drive them fast. My uncles BMW 730d (2010), 7,2 liters / 100 km's, and he drives 90% either in city or on motorways at above 150-160 km/h.

  • @derbigpr500 Dont take it so seriously it was merely just a damn joke! Im not disputing that diesels are economical, besides I had a Mercedes Viano 220cdi for 7 months and that returned between 7 and 12l/100km on av and up to 20 at worst which isn't bad for a big car.

  • recorded with iPhone 4?

  • how gear is your SUV ?

  • @ervinski7 How gear? I don't know what you mean.

  • @r1swedie How gear is the transmision ?

  • @ervinski7 It's the 8 gear automatic transmission like in every new Touareg ... very nice car :D

  • @r1swedie is it new touareg? 2010?

  • @r1swedie

i think he means how many gears ....8 gears

  • @ervinski7

    8 gears

  • @nitrogeb, yes after 140 or so it slows down a lot.

  • it's my opinion or it's very slow after 100 km/h?

  • Great Engine :) Very Good acceleration. Only 0-200 Km/h time is wierd. Should be around 20 sec not 27...

    Best regards

  • @MoonAudiA5 Thanks it's a really awesome car. I put on quad exhausts from JE design this week and dark colored winter wheels. Looks really beafy! Btw, after the remap of the car, the 0-200 time will improve a lot. The standard diesel engines stop pulling pretty early, hence the bad slow down after 140-150 km/h. Up to that speed, it's real quick for a 2,5 ton car.

  • @r1swedie In my country Diesel engine is known as a "tractor. I laugh about it. New engines are silent, flexible and really powerfull with low consumption of petrol. As You can see on my profile i have VW diesel engine as well and i like it much. Of course is remaped ^^ and of course i have whole exhaust system -> Milltek.

Good luck with Your "Baby" :)

    Mike

  • @r1swedie you forgot to put it in "S" mode i think

  • Put kickdown + brake, wait 2-4secounds (full turboboost) and leave brake -> will be under 6sec to 100

  • @oldschoolbimmers As far as I know, the new 8 gear automatic gearbox doesn't support launch control. So it will engage the clutch and try to move forward if you give throttle and brake at the same time. I need to confirm that there is launch control before I dare doing this!

  • @r1swedie:

no (german) car will move fordward in this situation, this would be really dangerous! if u have the foot on the brake and step on gas, brake will allways be stronger!

I don't if this is called launchcontroll, but that is the way u will get the maximum acceleratuion from a car with automatic gearbox. the factory-data is measured this way.

look at your tacho, it's getting damn fast after 20km/h, so at the start rpm/boost is missing.

  • @r1swedie:

forgot something, be careful with this start. it's really heavy for the transmission (and differential), because all the power goes into the torque converter (energy -> heath).

So don't do this at any traffic signal :-)

when u pushing it this way u will see, it will bring your car in the knees, looks very funny from outside.

  • @oldschoolbimmers Yeah, I thought you meant there would be some sort of launch control. I'd never go full throttle, or half with full brake. Right now I do slight throttle just to raise the RPMs, and a little brake on that. That helps the car launch a little quicker. But I don't dare doing this hard. I really don't want to break anything! It would be a costly 0.4 sec ;-)

  • 120 km/h at the most. This was of course on a closed road.

  • Amazing stuff.I just have some questions.

what's the speed limit on the sweedish highway? did you do this on the highway?

  • how much l/100km did you get on the highway?

  • @huffy15 at 120 km/h about 8. At 80-90 it can almost do 0.6 if you're gentle on the throttle. I average 10 per 100 over the whole tank.

  • @r1swedie ok great I do almost 10l/100km with my a4 1.8t at 130km/h

  • @r1swedie Wow!! My Audi S5 averages 9.5L/100km (And this is Highway driving almost all the time)!

So not bad at all for a heavy weight 4x4 like the Touareg!

    Nice Car mate and congrats.

  • Im waiting for the remapping too! Please put video when its updated! :)

  • how many hp in the V8

  • @mouadw 340 hp / 800 nm

  • мАскве на этом авто водитель может стать парашютистом,если к нему подойдут хатчики.

  • thats cool!! waiting for re-map)
