  • wow that is so cool

bloggerguy, what brand of wireless microphone did you use? did it function with that set up?

  • I have used a transmitter from Samsong. There is a little more noise on this one compared to the internal Nokia, but of course it gives me big advantage on long distance.

  • Hey, that's very cool.

Have you tried recording with the Alon MP3 Dictaphone software?

The new version supports recording of up to 48KHz! That's very good for a mobile phone, so I would imagine the results would be great.

  • Thank you for contributing. No I havn´t tried that software but I am still seaching for a good quality program for radio use. There is a couple but they all cost a little. Is this one expensive?

  • It's $24.95, but you can download a free 14 days trial from their site and try it out.

    the link is:

    w w w .alonsoftware.c o m /downloads/alonmp3dictaphone_s60.sis

  • Thanks, I´ll try it.

  • Just wondering, what other apps were you talking about when you said that there is a couple, but are expensive?

  • Interesting. I´ll look for it

  • My N95-3 came with a similar AV cable. The same cable is used by many devices. It matches the cables for the devices in the top part of the table on this page: google "zune pinout"

Using the red plug on a standard camcorder AV cable will cause the hot and ground sides of the mic to be switched. Using the yellow plug on the N95 cable will let the mic work normally. Some mics may work with hot and ground switched, but mine did not.

  • Thank you, Did I not mention that? I know the polarity is changed.I iron my connectors myself and took care of that.I will try the solution with using the yellow one.

  • All that stuff for the microphone or there is more things there? Can you show only the microphone cables and conectors? I want to create one for my n95 8gb

  • No, I don´t think you can do a audio recording in stereo using the minijack. There might be possible using the usb input, but then someone have to write the driver first. Tell me if you find a USB audio mic driver for Symbian.

  • wow! that is real crazy stuff :D

  • Yes, you are right, but is it good enought, no. At least not in Norway. You need a external antenna. OK, I admit I forgot that when I recorded the video.

    regards from bloggerguy

  • It´s in mono. I don´t think it is any problem with that. The way I want to use the external microphone is to have a closer mic in interviews, press conferences and so on. I think that this is importent when you work as a journalist with mobile (MOJO)

  • hey our n95s have buit in gps ^_^

  • Hey, I know... but it is not very good.
